Getting Started

  1. Buy the game, and put the CD in your drive.
  2. Install it -- click Install when the CD autostart screen comes up, or go to the My Computer icon on your desktop, double-click on your CD-ROM (there should be an Asheron's Call icon over it), and double-click Setup in the window that appears.
  3. Hit the Play link at the last installation screen. This will take you through the process of signing up for the Zone and starting your subscription, and will get you into the game with all possible speed.
  4. Keep checking these Asheron's Call pages for tips, news, events, and more! When you first start up Asheron's Call, you can click the Web button to get here right away. We suggest you read the Handbook, especially the General Advice article, for some helpful tips. You can reach the Handbook by clicking its link in the table of contents on the left. Whether your interest is forming a fellowship, improving the way you rendezvous and communicate with friends, or researching new spells, the Handbook will assist you.

Further Exploration

The Table of Contents on the left links to several important resources. Keep pace with exciting new developments through News & Events. Research Dereth's history and ecology in Asheron's Lore. And read the engaging Player Chronicles for tales submitted by your fellow adventurers. You can track the world's major monarchies in the Allegiance Hall, which also hosts information on assembling your own band of followers. Look to the Handbook for a wide range of gameplay tips and to access the Code of Conduct by which all players must abide. You'll find maps and other accessories under Downloads, in addition to movies and special preview and promotional files. Need detailed help? The Game Help section links to basic information about setting up and playing Asheron's Call, as well as technical instructions for resolving unusual problems. Welcome to Asheron's Call!
