The following article contains any details on the geography of Ispar, with sources cited. Please note that there will more than likely be contradictory information here.

Aluvia

  • Celdon lies nestled in the Belshain Valley, straddling the banks of the great Canfeld River.[1]
  • The Canfeld is birthed in the ancient granite of the Luparvium Mountains, which divides the bright fields and verdant woods of Aluvia from the gloomy moors of Milantos. It languidly flows, deep and slow, to the Ironsea.[1]
  • Thrushhaven, the traditional highland fortress of the Aluvian Kings, was deemed too remote for the Viamontian invader Alfric's purposes when Viamont invaded in 804 RC.[1]
  • The Ort castle of Holdfast is located in the Luparvium Mountains.[1]
  • Viamont is to the west of Aluvia.[2]
  • During the Winter solstice, in the northernmost regions, day can last but a few hours. In the northern horizon the annual auroral fires are visible. Mothers tell their children that this light comes from King Borimel's palace in the wastes.[3]
  • The Crimson Stars, or as the Aluvians call them, the Apple-Cart, only rise above the horizon during the summer months.[4]

Gharu'n

  • The ancient empire of Roulea was located north, across the Naqut, from the Gharu'ndim homelands. Half of Roulea was conquered, and formed the nation of Gharu'n. The conquest ended with the capture of Tirethas.[5]
  • Milantos is to the east of Gharu'n.[5]
  • The Naqut Desert is to the southwest and on the far shore of the Ironsea from Aluvia[3]
  • The Crimson Stars are visible year-round.[4]
  • The sea is to the north of the Naqut.[4]
  • The Taban region, the homeland of Ladriya bint Daum, is on the far side (from Tirethas) of the great Naqut Desert.[4]
  • Taban is a mountainous region. The province produced enough food to feed itself, and was chiefly known for its olive groves. There were also jewels that could be mined in the mountains. The court of Taban is at Nishadina.[4]
  • The Nariyid Range are the high mountains that towered over Nishadina.[4]

Milantos

  • The Milantans are to the southeast of the Aluvians.[3]

Roulea

  • There are salt mines east of Tirethas.[4]

Sho

  • The two closest kingdoms to the Sho Nation are Gharu'ndim and the Milantos[6] (note: Kingdoms may only imply currently existing nations, and the Roulean Empire had been conquered by Gharu'n and Viamont at this point)
  • The Sho lands are southwest of the Naqut over tall mountains.[3]
  • During the Winter solstice, the water and air grow cold. The weather can shift with little warning from clear skies to torrential, wind-driven rains that leave towns flooded and in ruins, and on the coldest days, snow falls from the sky and blankets the ground in a thin layer of white.[3]
  • The Crimson Stars, or as the Sho call them, The Watchfires at the Southern Gates of Heaven, are visible year-round. The night the cluster touches the sacred peak of Akisuma, as seen from the Imperial City, is traditionally held to be the start of their Festival of Lights.[4]

Viamont

  • The lands of Viamont are located on a peninsula, named the Viamontian Peninsula.[7]
  • The Corcosi tribe of Viamont controlled some of the best pasturelands, as well as a natural port on the southern coast of the peninsula.
  • The Silverans are to the north of Viamont.[8]
  • Aluvia is to the east, and Gharu'n is to the south.[8]
