Quest Overview

A strange visitor has caused the turkeys at Farmer Ar'Oyd's barn to get out of control.

This is a seasonal quest and is only available during the month of November.

This quest can still be completed by purchasing the Wishbone from a Gauntlet Vendor. Only one person need purchase the wishbone. Farmer Ar'Oyd will give you Farmer's Gem which can summon the basement dungeon allowing a large group to go inside and complete the quest. See Notes Section below

After running this quest with a large number from the Morningthaw server and camping it for several hours it appears the the new Wishbone version is much different. Anthony no longer spawns, there are no eggs in the room, although a few Poults still spawn. The new Thunder Turkey has "overpower" similar to Viridian Rise creatures and the feathers are now "Mutilated Turkey Feathers". The quest now rewards 200,000,000 xp, 20,000 luminance and a 2 use Gauntlet Treasure Key. This sadly means it no longer counts towards the Legendary Key Quest with John or for the 40 legend key quests for your paragon weapon.

Walk Through

1. Head to Farmer Ar'Oyd barn at 53.2S 80.7E close to the Blue Ghost Falls near Nanto.
   • Route: Town Network Sho branch to Nanto.
2. Use the Basement Hatch in the barn to enter the Fowl Basementand fight the Thunder Turkey.
   • Warning: Very hot drop!
   • The Thunder Turkey is weak to Fire.
   • There are also three Turkey Eggs. Killing the Turkey Egg stops the spawn of the Thunder Poults.
3. Killing the Turkey Eggs in the room seems to stop the spawn of the minion Thunder Poults. This makes the fight a bit easier.
4. Beware of Anthony, who wields a Tetsubo and can do a considerable amount of damage.
5. When the Thunder Turkey dies, it will leave a corpse containing one Thunder Turkey Leg.
6. Thunder Turkey Feathers will appear on the ground near the turkey. Each person should loot one and go through the open door to the west.
7. Give Farmer Ar'Oyd the feather in the rewards room for 300,000,000 xp, 15,000 luminance, 10 MMDs, a 2 use Legendary Key, and the title "Cold Turkey".
   • Note: You can also turn in the Thunder Turkey Leg to Varinia in Arwic for a special response, but no tangible reward.

Farmer Ar'Oyd tells you, "I was just trying to breed some life back into this stale old town by having a huge feast with all the fixings...something to bring in the folks from miles around!"
Farmer Ar'Oyd tells you, "Then that Anthony fellow wanders into town, talking up his 'magical' pet feed. "Make your livestock as big as an Auroch and as strong as a Tusker" he says. "No harmful side effects" he says."
Farmer Ar'Oyd tells you, "I didn't think throwing a little of his food down into the turkey pen would be such a big deal."
Farmer Ar'Oyd tells you, "The next thing I know there's a MONSTER running around underneath my barn!"
Farmer Ar'Oyd tells you, "Please gather your friends, enter the basement of my barn and destroy this beast."

Farmer Ar'Oyd tells you, "You did it! I heard that evil bird's scream from outside so I snuck in through my 'private' entrance to the basement to see for myself. Low and behold, the creature is no more!"

Farmer Ar'Oyd tells you, "Perhaps I should plan better for my next gathering. You have my thanks, friend."

When the Wishbone is handed to Farmer Ar'Oyd the following occurs.

Farmer Ar'Oyd tells you, "A wishbone? I love these things! I must warn you though, I never lose. Raising animals for years I know exactly how much pressure to place and at what angle to break the bone."
Farmer Ar'Oyd grabs one end of the wishbone and pulls, snapping the bone in two.
You see he clearly has the larger piece in his hand.
Farmer Ar'Oyd tells you, "I told you I never lose! A wish? That's easy. I wish someone would "clean out" the basement of my barn. The place has become a nightmare since the holidays ended."
Farmer Ar'Oyd tells you,"A warning though, this gem will only open a portal to my basement once. Be sure you have gathered the bravest of your companions before entering."
Farmer Ar'Oyd gives you Farmer's Basement Portal Gem.

Notes

• IDing Anthony says he is a Non-Player Killer but don't believe it.

• Bring a Wishbone purchased from the Gauntlet to Farmer Ar'Oyd at 53.1S, 80.8E near Nanto for a Farmer's Basement Portal Gem.

The Wishbone can be purchased from Gauntlet for 10 Gauntlet Coins.
