I suspect there is a timer on picking up the brands, then using them

Was the same when i handed the 2 other brands.
 
 
I got them 48 hours before, and parked it.  I guess they have a "time to live".
 
Has anyone else seen this?
 
Seems i was wrong..  the text above occurs if you get the 3 brands (in a grp), but dont have the stone to summon.
