Cragstone is the capital city of the Aluvian Realm. It is named after [[Thorsten Cragstone]], a fallen hero of the [[Olthoi]] rebellion. Cragstone was the first above-ground settlement of the Isparians, which they settled after moving out of the nearby [[Underground City]] on the [[Isle of Tears]] on [[Lake Blessed]]. Besides the standard vendors, collectors, and quest NPCs, Cragstone is home to the Aluvian Library where the translator of Yalaini text lives. [[The Arcanum]]'s Aluvian furniture shop is also just outside of town.

During the Shadow Wars, Cragstone was attacked by a [[Shadow Spire]] at the same time as [[Arwic]] and [[Tufa]]. [[Elysa Strathelar]], [[Asheron]], and the advocates were able to destroy the Shadow Spire and save Cragstone, but Arwic and Tufa were not so lucky.

"Cragstone is the capital city of the Aluvians, named after the fallen hero of the Olthoi Rebellion Thorsten Cragstone, father of Prince Borelean Strathelar. It is the second oldest human settlement on Dereth, founded after the the victory over the Olthoi on the hills west of the Isle of Hope (now called the Isle of Tears). Just outside of town, one will find the Aluvian library and the translator of Yalaini texts. In 11 PY, during the Fourth Sending of Darkness, Cragstone survived the attack of three Shadow spires, thanks to Queen Elysa Strathelar and Asheron Realaidain. The ruins of one of these dark spires now rests in victory harbor. In 18 PY, Drudges established a large fort west of town, and for some time Cragstone was under constant raids. While the Drudges have been pushed back, the threat to the west is still present.

The Eldrytch Web, one of the Societies of Dereth, has established their stronghold here. One of the three powerful Mana Forges, run by the Arcanum, may be found behind the Hildar House." --Town Network Sign

A Cragstone portal is located in the Town Network, but Cragstone can also be reached via the Sanctum Residential Halls and the Effigy Foundary - one of the Statue Dungeons, connected to via the statue portals in the towns of Hebian-To, Zaikhal, Tou-Tou, Glenden Wood, Eastham, Khayyaban, Lin, Al-Jalima, Uziz, and of course Cragstone itself.
