My leveling guide has an emphasis on questing rather than dungeon grinding. It also is written for natural progression—completing content intended for your level range rather than much higher, and completing that content within your own means rather than using extremely powerful hand-me-downs and buff bots. This guide does not totally ignore the fact the higher levels help lower levels, as that is what the patron-vassal relationship is all about. But it also does assumes that your patron won't always be there to help, and that they are not necessarily a max level character who can provide you with everything you'd possibly need.

If you enjoy being self-sufficient, questing solo or in small groups, and are more interested in exploring and having a fun time rather than grinding in dungeons, this guide is for you.
* Healers in [[Holtburg]], [[Sanamar]], [[Shoushi]], and [[Yaraq]] sell level 1 - 4 [[Attribute]] buffs. Look under "Services".
* The Lugian merchants in Holtburg, Shoushi, and Yaraq sell special protection gems. When used, these gems cast spells equal to level 3s for the 7 elemental protections and the natural armor spell.
* The [[Exploration Society Letters]] quest provides an excellent suit of armor, jewelry, weapons, and a shield for low levels. This quest is restricted to levels 1 - 20.

Quests are broken up into level ranges. I have placed them based on the following criteria:
* Level restriction - If a quest has a level restriction, it is going to be placed on the page where its level restriction falls (if not higher)
* Difficulty / Level recommendation - If a quest has no level restriction, or is much more difficult than its restriction, it will be placed in the lowest level range that seems appropriate
* Experience rewards - A lot of quests use a percentage to next level with a cap as their reward. For lower levels especially, quests will generally be placed in the range where they reach their cap. This ensures that you will be getting the most out of the reward.
* Equipment rewards - If a quest's equipment reward is particularly useful at a certain level range, it may be placed there even if the experience reward is low or not near its maximum value.

<br>At level 10 you will be able to start the [[Facility Hub Quests]]. This is a series of quests connected via a hub which with high value experience rewards to quickly level from 10 to approximately 46. The hub also includes portals to the first 5 [[Olthoi Pincers|Olthoi Pincer]] dungeons and the first 8 [[Tusker Tusks|Tusker Tusk]] dungeons. For the most efficient order to run the quests in to maximize the experience rewards, see [[Facility Hub Quests/Tasks by Efficiency]].
 
<br>During the course of the Facility Hub Quests you may find yourself a level or two short of the next set of quests. To help cover this gap, the first three sections of the [[Moarsmen on the Shores]] quest (Redspire, Tou-Tou, and Danby's Outpost) and the first two sections of  the [[Ritual of the Blight]] quest (Redspire and Tou-Tou). Please note that these quest take place at the same locations, so you can save time by running them together.
 
<br>When you finish the Facility Hub Quests, you will still probably be a few levels short of 50. Here are a few options to reach 50:
* Head out to the [[Gearknight Invasion Area]] and complete the quests, collection tasks, and kill tasks out there. These quests may be repeated every day, so it should not take long to reach 50.
* Speak with Shoichi at 54.4S 72.9E in Lin. This flags you for the 500 count [[Tusker Guard]] kill task which rewards you with 20,000,000xp upon completion. This quest can be completed in the [[Tusker Barracks]] (which you can access via the [[Facility Hub]]) or in any of the three [[Black Spawn Den]]s (which you can access via the [[Black Spawn Den Portal Device]] if your allegiance mansion has one).
* Spend some time in a popular hunting dungeon. Some options are: [[Phyntos Menace]], [[Matron Hive North]], [[Matron Hive South]], [[Olthoi Arcade]], [[Dungeon Nye]], and [[Mite Maze]].
