Overview

The goal of this quest is to find Exploration Markers that have been placed at different locations all over Dereth and its surrounding islands. Some Markers belong to a particular theme (ex. they are found near Festival Stones) but some are completely random locations.

The quest culminated in 100 total markers during the 10th anniversary patch. The reward for all 100 is a global with your name plus a 30 slot backpack.

Walkthrough & Notes

1. Speaking with Sean the Speedy will allow you to start using the markers.
2. Find the Exploration Markers.
3. Return to Sean once you find 10 lots of markers for your rewards. Explorer titles are rewarded for every 20 markers, and special titles are rewarded for finding themed markers (listed in brackets).

   • Cross mountain at 43.2N, 58.0E
   • If you do not have Paradox-touched Olthoi Infested Area Recall you can head to the Arwic Portals at 32.9N, 59.4E, take the Sennon Valley Retreat portal to 52.0N, 64.0E and run south-west approximately 11 clicks to the cross point at 43.2N, 58.1E then run onto the marker at 42.6N, 57.4E. This marker must be approached from the north.
3. 34.6N, 41.6E - Obsidian Span - On top of the East Ring

   • Route: Go to Jahannan Vault at 49.8S, 15.0E, the exit portal drops close by (non-summon), or run from Crater Lake Village, cross over with a small jump at 66.9N 11.1E

1. 40.6N, 41.3W - Plateau Village Outskirts- in the top of the tower by the 3 Windmills.
   • Route 1: Buy an Invitation Plateau scroll from a Wedding Planner, use, run to 40.6N, 41.3W.
   • Route 2: From Yaraq or Umbral Halls, take Khayyaban Portal. Enter Oriel Residential Halls at 47.4S, 25.1E, take Plateau portal, run to 40.6N, 41.3W.
2. 12.8S, 58.9W - Izji Qo's Temple - at the top of the Temple
   • Route 1: use the portal device at your mansion.
   • Route 2: Buy Sake, Available in Baishi. From Baishi run to Drunken Madman at 53S, 61E. Give Madman Sake, take portal. From Walled Portals take Outside Accursed Halls portal. From there, leave fort and run north to 12.8S, 58.9W.

   • Route 1: Run from Teth.
   • Route 2: From South Direlands Portal (62.2S, 77.1E west of Mayoi) drop run to Slaughterhouse portal at 80.6S, 37.5W.

   • Route: From Arwic to the Far Claw Villas Settlement Portal at 32.9N, 59.4E then run south to to marker at 51.8N 59.6E.

   • Route: Purchase a Invitation Wedding Hall from a Wedding Planner. Take South Direlands Portal inside. From drop, run to to 78S, 45.5W, run west into crater.

   • Route: Use the Dangerous Portal Device at your mansion until it drops you on the Tusker Island.

   • Route 1: Run from Lytelthorpe or Rithwic.

You examine the marker, but are unsure what to do with it. Engraved on a small plaque is the symbol of the Explorers Society, a long series of numbers, and the name Sean the Speedy.
