Quest Overview

Master Craftsman Takahume in Xarabydun has uncovered plans to the Gold Gear Primus. He believes he may be able to broker peace with the invading Gear Knights if he can build it and requests your assistance in securing the needed parts.

This is a server quest and as large numbers of parts are turned in the Gold Gear Primus slowly takes form next to Takahume. First the feet (1k), then the legs (10k), then the abdomen (20k), then the torso (30k), then the arms (40k), and finally Atamarr, the Gold Primus, is activated at 50k.

Once activated Atamarr will accept the items and gives a quest to retrieve a Storage Box located inside a bunker at 10.41S, 75.19W from the Direlands Invasion Area.

During the Lay of the Land event, the tasks and rewards of Atamarr were taken over by a new friendly Gear Knight, Kaytin

Walk Through

1. Speak to Master Craftsman Takahume in Xarabydun.
2. Kill Gear Knights to collect parts you can turn in to Takahume/Kaytin.
   • High Level Area (items worth 5 points each)
     • Aetherium Power Core

   • Low Level Area (items worth 1 point each)
     • Gold Aetherium Core Fragment (possibly worth more than 1 point)

3. You are given xp rewards at 50, 100, 150, and 200 points turned in. You also get a title at 200.
4. Past 200 you are no longer rewarded, however you can continue turning in items to advance the construction of the golem/supply Atamarr (though you might as well use another character).
5. Kaytin also asks you to get a Storage Box in the Direlands Invasion area, it is found in one of the little caves in the center.
   • Respawn timer on the box is at least 15 minutes.

Activation of the Gold Primus

You give Master Craftsman Takahume Aetherium Power Core.
Master Craftsman Takahume checks his notes quickly, a smile spreading across his face.
Master Craftsman Takahume says, "This is it! This is the last piece I need to complete the Primus. I have one final thing to get from my rooms. I'll be right back."
Master Craftsman Takahume sets the final components in place, looking up expectantly at the Gold Gear Primus.
With a whirring click and a ticking sound, the Gold Gear Primus begins to move. You feel a scrutinizing presence focus upon you.

After Atamarr is Activated

Atamarr tells you, "My first directive is to re-establish my connections to my House, and to do this, I will need to rebuild my entourage, and to figure out who or what is driving this present invasion of my people into this world."
Atamarr tells you, "To this end, I am rewarding adventurers for the collection of Aetherium Power Cores, Aetherium Ore, and Gears from the invading Gear Knights found in either the Direlands, or along the coast of the eastern shore of the Inner Sea. If they wish to present themselves as enemies to the peoples of this land, they can at least be put to more productive use in deactivation."

Atamarr tells you, "Also, if you are willing, I have a secondary task for you. The Iron Blade invasion in the Direlands will have a storage box placed deep in their defenses. It is common for their House to hide updates, orders, etc. in these boxes, where they will go unnoticed by invading forces."
Atamarr tells you, "Acquisition for me one of these boxes, and I will see what we can learn about their plans and reasonings in this invasion."
