- In the time prior to the birth of the Gharu'ndim nation, the Naqut desert was described as dividing the land of Milantos and the decaying Roulean Empire. [1]
- The ancient empire of Roulea was located north, across the Naqut, from the Gharu'ndim homelands.[1][2] The Gharu'ndim swept across the Naqut and half of Roulea was conquered. The conquest ended with the seige of Tirethas, and the nation of Gharu'n was born.[2]
