The ancient Sho sorcerer walked unhurriedly across the desert sands, leaning heavily against his staff. He paused, as if waiting for the blowing winds to whisper a final secret, a final direction to take.

At last, the Sho continued on, turning into a hidden valley between the shifting dunes. He paused again -- this time, the wind brought him warning. He heard the footfalls of a band of heroes run past; but the sorcerer did not concern himself with them. No doubt they hurried to their deaths in yet another dungeon, in vain pursuit of glory and wealth.

The Sho had all the wealth he needed right here. Dropping to his knees, he began digging through the sand . . . searching . . . searching . . .

There! He had it. The sorcerer pulled a sealed lead coffer from the ground. Uttering strange incantations, the coffer's lock fell open. He lifted the lid, revealing a tome perfectly preserved inside . . .
