Overview

• You only have to flag for the dungeon once (Steps 1 and 2).
• The Repugnant Eater Kill Task is recommended while doing this quest.

Walkthrough & Notes

1. Run due west to the Granite Quarry at 11.8S 39.0E, there is no portal, just an open entrance. Stick left until you find the Underminer Leader who drops the Underminer Notes.
2. Return the notes to Adrana in Yanshi who will flag you for the next portal.
3. Return to the Granite Quarry but this time stick right to the portal to the Yanshi Lower Undermine. Stick right again. At the end of the lower mine is a portal to Yanshi Upper Undermine.
4. Stick left and continue climbing up to the top where you'll find the Yanshi Swarm Matron that drops the Yanshi Swarm Matron's Claw.
5. Return the claw to Adrana in Yanshi to receive your rewards.

Royal Guard Adrana tells you, "Ah, you might be just the person to help me. As you can see, Yanshi has been rebuilt, stronger than ever. But I suspect that there are some who are making ready to tear down all that the townsfolk have worked hard to achieve. Please travel to the nearby granite quarry at 11.8S, 39.0E and see if there are any suspicious characters about. Bring me any evidence you can find of plots against the new town."

Handing in Underminer Notes

You give Royal Guard Adrana Underminer Notes.

Royal Guard Adrana tells you, "Unbelievable! Why would people willingly betray their own town to that mad dog Varicci? It is as I feared. Please, enter the Yanshi Lower Undermine portal at the quarry and root out the cause of this trouble. It will not be enough to dispose of the Eaters that await -- you must fight through to the Olthoi Swarm Matron at the center of this plot and destroy her. Bring me the matron's claw, and I will reward you."

You give Royal Guard Adrana Yanshi Swarm Matron's Claw.

Royal Guard Adrana tells you, "A crisis narrowly averted! I thank you for your bravery and loyalty to Queen Elysa. Your actions have saved the town. As such, I think it would be appropriate to give you the Shield of Yanshi..."

Royal Guard Adrana tells you, "I see this is the first time you have assisted me. You did such fine work I think I should encourage you to return and aid me in the future."

Update History

Through Sacrifice, Strength Quest introduced. Reforging the Past XP reward increased from 3,000,000 to 45,000,000. Learning From Experience XP reward increased from 45,000,000 to 73,000,000 (58,000,000 for repeat runs). The Quest for Freedom Repeat timer changed from 13 days to 20 hours.
