Overview

Quest to attain a vial of the Hopeslayer's blood, which can be used to upgrade the Sword of Lost Light into the Sword of Lost Hope.

• This quest is the final part of a chain that must be completed before hand (by at least 1 person in the fellowship) to create the portal gem that leads to the quest dungeon. The quests can be completed in any order.
• Lockpick skill (max diff. 402) is required for a door in part 2.

Walkthrough & Notes

1. If you haven't already, hand the Dark Crucible to one of the Chosen of Asheron to receive the Sepulcher of the Hopeslayer Portal Gem.
2. Summon the portal to the dungeon while on flat ground. Buffing can be done before or after summoning as the drop zone of the Sepulcher is safe. However, be careful while in the drop area not to enter the surface portal as there is no way back without a second portal gem.
3. Have the lockpicker unlock the middle door - the other two passages are rigged with mana and stamina blight traps.
4. After clearing the section of Grievver and Shadows, you will see a lever in the center of the room, have a group or person stay behind at the lever ready for use when you reach the door - everyone else will continue on west.
5. At the split, take the middle passage across a grated floor and down a ramp. Defeat the Grievvers and Shadows in this room and head around to the north passage.
6. The next section is made of Shadow-twisted organic material which constantly eats away at your health for 9 points or more. The alcoves in the central corridor are safe zones from the damage, so stand in them whenever you can.
7. Stand at the door and have the group that stayed behind pull the lever, when the door opens move into the alcoves beyond the door and wait.
8. The lever group now needs to get to the door and take the left corridor north through some rooms to the last lever, pull it, and then run back and join up with the others (the first door can be reopened from inside the corridor). When the final door is open, everyone should move into the end of the passage before the pit and buff up if necessary.
9. Down below is the final room where A Shadow of Black Ferah is found along with the Remnants of Ilservian laid out on an altar.
10. Kill the spawns and loot a vial of Blood of the Hopeslayer (10 vials are found on the Ilservian's remains).
11. After you have infused the Sword of Lost Light with the volcanic infusions (blue, white, and red) for improved stats, you can use the Blood of the Hopeslayer on it to create the Sword of Lost Hope. You cannot add infusions other than the Radiant Mana Infusion to the sword once you have used the blood on it, so make sure you do it in that order if you want the best possible sword.

Update History

Now In This Hush Quest introduced. Into the Darkness Sepulcher of the Hopeslayer updated. Unknown Event Experience reward increased from 5,000,000 to 10,000,000. Learning From Experience Experience reward increased from 10,000,000 to 15,000,000. The Quest for Freedom Repeat timer changed from 27 days to 20 hours.
