Burun Attacks
A Live Event that ran during the Mired Hearts event.
During this event, Bleeargh the mosswart would appear in various towns south east of Osteth to trade salvage with players so he could make new clothing and build new homes after they were destroyed by the Burun.[1]
If you traded with him he gave you a Mosswart Thanking Stone and other items such as armor, peas and pyreals.
Shortly after completing the trade Burun creatures would attack and attempt to kill Bleeargh. If he was succesfully protected more rewards were handed out to players, if he was killed you could loot a Mosswart Mourning Stone from his corpse.[1]
Most of the time his death was caused by unscrupulous players that chose to kill him, sometimes even after he had handed out gifts, this also triggered a Burun attack.[1]
Each attack would include a Burun leader that when killed dropped Burun Idols and also triggered a global message, the Idols were droppable on death but could be handed into Translator Aun Laokhe in Arwic to remove the drop on death property, no real use has ever been found for the Idols other than a housing item.[1]
The Mosswart Thanking Stones could also be taken to Aun Laokhe to earn the title of Diplomat. The Mourning Stones that were shown to him, however, were simply met with anger and no reward.[1]
