7/17/09 - Thug Hideout

Ries Woron has found the Thug Hideout near 65.8S 77.2E and needs your help!

General

On July 17th, 2009 at around 12.30AM EST, A Global went out that Ries Woron found a Thug Hideout at 65.8S 77.2E near Lin.

• There is a white portal dungeon at those coords. The dungeon is no log and no recall.
  
• The dungeon is full of Thugs and Thug Bosses, which do not respawn after killed. Kill all the Thugs as you go through the dungeon
  
• Move north through the dungeon. First you come two doors with a hallway in between. Use the lever by the first door and run through a hallway where fire spits out of the ground (fire doesn't seem to do damage).
• Continue north and kill Thug Bosses in the next section of the dungeon. One will drop a First Gate Key. Use the key to open the First Gate (lockpick difficulty 999)
  
• In the next section of the the dungeon there are 2 rooms with rows of chests. From the First Gate keep left and you'll enter one of those rooms. Go to the third chest from the end of the row of chests and open it with lockpick (difficulty 500). Inside the chest will be the Second Gate Key that has 2 uses. Use it to open the Second Gate.
  • Note: You cannot tell which chest has the key based on the chest's burden (they all say 9000). The key in the chest respawns continually so unlike the First Gate Key you can get as many as you like.
• Once you enter the second gate you will hit what appears to be a floor trigger that spawns a mana barrier in front of the next gate also called the Second Gate. The Barrier has a 15(?) second count down timer before it disappears.
• Ries Woron and The Unknown Warrior are in the room beyond the barrier/gate. The Unknown Warrior kills Ries then turns and points at the door then he disappears along with the mana barrier. Open the Second Gate with the Second Gate Key.
• The dungeon continues northward with more Thugs but there are no more bosses or NPCs. The last room is the throne room. Also the pit below where Ries dies cannot be gotten out of if you jump down there.
• Carolyn Woron spawns in the center of Lin at 54.5S, 73.1E to distribute rewards. She appears exactly 45 minutes after the first global goes out, possibly based on the number of thugs killed. There is a global message that announces when she appears.

The daughter of Ries Woron has arrived in Lin and wishes to reward those who helped her father.

The rewards vary on which of the previous events you participated in:

• If you participated in all of the previous events as well as this one you receive a 5 Use Reinforced Mana Forge Key.
• If you participated in Defending Baishi, Attacking the Thug Camp, and Attacking the Thug Hideout then you receive a 5 Use Reinforced Mana Forge Key.
• If you had participated in the event at the Thug Camp and helped defend Baishi then you get a 2 use Braced Mana Forge Key.
  
• If you only participated in this event then you only get a 1 use Mana Forge Key
• If you had given the Family Necklace back to the Grateful Shopkeeper in Baishi, you get the Title "Selfless Soul"
