Quest Overview

Multi stage quest to infiltrate Hoshino's fortress and tower. Advance warning: The creatures in the fortress and dungeons hit very hard with melee damage, slashing war spells, and void DoTs. Creatures you'll encounter are primarily ghosts, undead, mu-miyah, and rats. Soulbound should be your weapon of choice.

Walk Through

  1. Talk Mareeno Donn at the tents north of Beach Fort at 80.7N 43.0W.
  2. Collect three pieces of a key from the three Gatekeepers that spawn inside one of the clusters of buildings at the base of the fortress. The particular building in each cluster that the Gatekeeper spawns in appears to be random. Each piece of the key has a one hour timer before it disintegrates. Combine the 3 pieces into a key which has a two hour timer before it disintegrates.
  3. Go to the entrance to the fortress and had to the key to the lock beside the door.
  4. Once inside the fortress enter the Venerable Mausoleum portal in the courtyard.
  5. There are three pits to jump down from the top level of the dungeon. Jump down each one at a time and go to the end to find a boss that will drop a bone. Everyone in the fellow needs a bone from each boss even though the boss only drops four and there is no timer on picking up. By the boss is a portal back to the top level of the dungeon. After you have two bones and a skull combine them into a single item.
  6. Hand the completed skull plus torso to the altar at the top level of the dungeon by the Samurai Titan. Do not get too close to the Titan or he will agro. After the first person hands a skeleton will spawn and kill the Titan. This is where you get your first reward ("Vanquisher of the Titan" title, xp, lum, MFK, and a key to the next section of the fort). Everyone should hand in their skulls to the altar. A surface portal will spawn which takes you back to the courtyard (very hot drop).
  7. Use your key on the lock of the next door and proceed through the next section. The next door has no lock and seems to open automatically when someone approaches.
  8. Enter the Falatacot Temple portal in the courtyard of the next section.
  9. Go through the dungeon and check corpses for pieces of a broken lever. Collect the pieces then hand them to the lever box to open the door to the next section. The door will open then when you run through you will be portaled to the next section.
  10. Kill everything in this section in order to open to the door to the boss. Kill the boss and an NPC will spawn which provides you with the second reward: "heretic" title, xp, lum, MFK and a key to the next final door in the fort. Use the surface portal to return to the fort (very hot drop).
  11. Use the key to open the final door in the fortress.
  12. Admire the spectral towers floating on the side of the fortress then enter the Hoshino Tower portal.
  13. Kill the Lieutenant and loot an Insignia Ring (should be enough for a full fellow). Then go up through the doors that open when he dies. At the top you'll find tables with armor pieces of two different styles. One is an Adept's Set and the other is imbued +1 Melee/Magic Defense.
  14. Turn the Insignia Ring to Mareeno Donn at the tent for the final reward ("Captain" title, xp, lum, and Grand Casino Key with one use).
