Page 1: Worshipful Matrons,I beseech you for guidance, for aid, for enlightenment.  I beg that you might show me the one true path, that I may serve the Old Ones in the wisest way possible, for my own capabilities are not worthy to evaluate this new presence that arises to confront us.

There has been a voice whispering from the cracks of Kiliakta which beckons me closer to hear its sweet song of corruption.  It says to forsake N'cthail and the other Old Ones, and to worship it alone.  It says it alone is worthy of our homage.  Its call is strong - strong enough to consider giving it the worship it craves.

Page 2: The presence beneath the world names itself 'The Blighted Dreamer' when it speaks to meI remember the name from my childhood, during the days before I had ascended to my current form, but I do not recall any more than just the name.  It is no matter - the power and corruption which oozes from this being convinces me that it is proper to be in service to this one.  My instinct says to serve and be rewarded.

'The Creeping Blight' - that is what it names its servants, called from the sea to inflict destruction upon the new inhabitants of Kiliakta.  It would purge those interlopers from the world through its servants, and I think it can do it.  The sea shall be the doom of our enemies.

Page 3: I would embrace this Old One beneath the world...but I am obedient.  I send this message for instructions.  If you advise me to disregard its call, I shall reject it, and pay homage to those which came before.  If you command me to follow it, I shall do so, along with the rest of us who have remained on Auberean, and we shall join the might of the Matriarchs to the Blighted Dreamer.  If I hear nothing, I shall follow my instinct and let it determine where we shall go, for I believe that the other Old Ones have been useless, and only here, in this Old One heretofore forgotten, may we find the power to defeat all of our enemies.

Lore & Dialog

Kaurik tells you, "Greetings, human. You are just in time, if you can help."
Kaurik tells you, "I am Kaurik - I follow Tmauruk's commands in all things. He is clever and quick, much more so than most of us."
Kaurik tells you, "He has asked me to ask help of humans who come by in an important task."
Kaurik tells you, "Recently, a ghost appeared at the spot that your portal sends people when they come here from your Dereth. As we scouts drew closer, it fled quickly away. It moved too quickly for us to catch it, but it sealed itself into one of the many ways hidden in the Upper Catacomb."
Kaurik tells you, "Tmauruk thinks that it is a messenger, going to see the Falatacot which live in the catacombs. Anything which helps them is bad for us, so we want to catch the messenger, see what it plans."
Kaurik tells you, "I will show you how to use the statue so that you may gain access to the ghost's hiding place. Help us - bring us the message - and we will hail you accordingly. You also help your own people - the Falatacot do not love the humans who have defeated them and freed their prisoner."

Kaurik tells you, "Human! There's a Falatacot messenger trapped in the Upper Catacomb right now! Please go and take care of it if you can, for the sake of both our peoples! Bring the message it bears back to me once you are done."

Tikreek tells you, "Juruuka. The messenger is in here somewhere, but it teleports away too quickly for us. You will need to hunt it down and catch it carefully. Be aware that this place is heavily trapped - I am not sure what is further in that they feel the need to guard so closely. Of course, what they don't know is that I know a bit of the art of the shaman, and I've trapped their summoning chamber. If you encounter the messenger there, it will be trapped and have to fight you. Good hunting."

The ghost spies <Player> and shrieks, vanishing as it does. You surmise that its powers are not great enough to teleport it outside of this complex - it's still here somewhere...

Page 2: The presence beneath the world names itself 'The Blighted Dreamer' when it speaks to me. I remember the name from my childhood, during the days before I had ascended to my current form, but I do not recall any more than just the name.
