The margul are gargoyle-like creatures that are extremely long-lived. Student's of the School of the Arm, margul are exceptional war casters and it is the rare Isparian that can resist their magics. Do not let their size lull you into underestimating the hazard they present. A single margul is challenge enough, but they almost always travel in packs and the wary traveler will give these winged cabals a wide birth. They are most commonly seen on Singularity Caul.
Mages and warriors quarrel regarding the weaknesses of marguls, some believing lightning superior, others frost. On one thing they agree, little else seems to harm them to any great extent. Isparian crafters have yet to successfully tan and craft a margul hide, but perhaps someday their superlative hides will protect more than the original owner.
