Quest Overview

Every two Minor Atlan Stones that are given to an Agent of the Arcanum will be rewarded with a Writ of Refuge.

Walk Through

Minor Shivering Stone

OPTIONAL You can purchase A Shivering Stone rumor from either Magrom the Red, Barkeeper at 25.7N, 48.8E or Barkeeper Wilomine at 42.2N, 33.7E, The rumor directs you to find an igloo located at 42.7N, 49.8E.

To get to the igloo quickly, start in Holtburg and take the Holtburg Wilderness Settlement portal from Holtburg at 40.2N, 35.1E, this will drop you only a short run from the igloo at 42.7N, 49.8E. Once there you will see it is surrounded by 8 Glacial Golems, you can run right past them into the cave where you will find the Minor Shivering Stone, you will also see a Textbook which you can take if you wish

Optionally you can take the Textbook to Bretself the Translator in Cragstone for translation at 26.0N, 47.0E. The textbook translates to Atlan's Treatise.

Minor Smoldering Stone

OPTIONAL You can purchase the rumor A Fiery Stone from Jizal al-Nurla the Scribe in Zaikhal at 13.8N, 0.1E, the rumor directs you to find a Fiery Cave at 15.0S, 31.2E.

To get to the cave quickly, start in Samsur and then proceed to the Yinar (settlement) portal at 0.8S, 18.9E, from here it is a short run to the cave at 15.0S, 31.2E. Once there you will see 7 Gouts, run right past them down into the cave and pick up the Minor Smoldering Stone, you will also see a Textbook which you can take if you wish.

Optionally you can take the Textbook to Bretself the Translator in Cragstone for translation at 26.0N, 47.0E. The textbook translates to Atlan's Treatise.

Minor Sparking Stone

OPTIONAL You can purchase the rumor A Sparking Stone from Te Ketnan the Barkeep in Mayoi at 61.4S, 81.9E, the rumor directs you to find a Zefir Cave at 60.0S, 75.5E.

To get to the cave quickly, start in Mayoi take the West Mayoi Mountain Villas portal at 60.8S, 80.3E, from here it is a short run to the cave at 60.0S, 75.5E. Once there you will see 8 Sufut Zefirs, run past them down into the cave and pick up the Minor Sparking Stone, you will also see a Textbook and a Hastily Scrawled Note which you can take if you wish.

Optionally you can take the Textbook and Hastily Scrawled Note to Bretself the Translator in Cragstone for translation at 26.0N, 47.0E. The textbook translates to Atlan's Treatise, the note translates to a Field Report.

Minor Stinging Stone

OPTIONAL You can purchase the rumor A Stinging Stone from Barkeeper Fo Ya-Un in Hebian-To at 39.1S, 83.4E, the rumor directs you to find a small Swamp Cave at 24.5S, 47.4E.

To get to the cave quickly, start in Yanshi take the Swamp Temple Place Portal at 10.3S, 45.7E, from here it is a short run to the cave at 24.5S, 47.4E. Once there you will see 3 Mosswart Soul Trappers, 2 Mosswart Zealots and 11 Sewer Rats, kill them then run down into the cave and pick up the Minor Stinging Stone, you will also see a Textbook and a Soiled Parchment which you can take if you wish.

Optionally you can take the Textbook and Soiled Parchment to Bretself the Translator in Cragstone for translation at 26.0N, 47.0E. The textbook translates to Atlan's Treatise, the parchment translates to Decree.

Handing in 2 minor stones to an Agent of the Arcanum for a Writ of Refuge
You give Agent of the Arcanum Minor Stinging Stone.
Agent of the Arcanum tells you, "These elemental stones have wonderful properties. The minor ones aren't quite as useful as the major stones, but I can reward you a writ if you bring me another minor stone."

You give Agent of the Arcanum Minor Sparking Stone.
Agent of the Arcanum tells you, "Excellent, the second minor stone! We hope to tap those energies for other uses. Here, take this as a reward."
Agent of the Arcanum gives you Writ of Refuge.

• During the Heart of Woe event, some improvements and misc changes were made to the quest:
  • Each of the stones received updated spells.
  • The Minor Frost and Sparking stones were moved to new locations.
  • The old heritage rumors were replaced with store bought rumors.
