Quest Overview

Originally, this quest was part of a Live Event during the Grael Story Arc. The portal opened up during the From the Darkest Depths event and remained open until it was retired during the Filling in the Blanks event.

During the Shadow Raids, Shadow Shards could be gathered to obtain a device. Turning in this device and the Amulet after killing the Shadow Vortex to Riordin Nightbane gave the Grael's Claw, a mukkir slaying UA weapon.

Walk Through

1. Travel to Arwic. Near the town is a pit with the portal to Shadow Breach
2. In this pit, there are a few Barbaric Panumbral Mukkir and higher level Shadows, and the Makkar, a boss Mukkir level 235
3. The Makkar and the Barbaric Panumbral Mukkir drop about 5 Amulet of Dark Rage each.
4. Wear this Amulet to be able to enter the portal
5. The dungeon is rather small. On the way, you encounter a few Shadows and Mukkir.
6. At the end of the corridor, the Shadow Vortex can be seen across a grate
7. Kill the Shadow Vortex
8. Enter the portal back to Arwic which spawns when he dies, this flags you for the reward
9. Hand the Amulet to Sarkin Killcrane for your reward

Handing in Amulet
You allow Sarkin Killcrane to examine your Amulet of Dark Rage.
Sarkin Killcrane tells you, "Good job, you've rooted out Grael's main contingent. The breach you described won't be closed that easily, but you have insured a short respite for the poor folks in Arwic."
Sarkin Killcrane tells you, "May Grael taste the fear of the forces he has brought down upon himself. You have proven yourself worthy of joining the ancient and honorable Knights of the Golden Flame."
You've earned 99,078,618 experience.
Sarkin Killcrane lowers his sword onto each of your shoulders in turn. "I dub thee <player name>, a Knight of the Golden Flame. Rise Sir <player name>."
Sarkin Killcrane grants you the title Knight of the Golden Flame.

You give Riordin Nightbane Amulet of Dark Rage.
Riordin Nightbane tells you, "You need to give me the Device from the Mukkir Generals so I can use this to activate it."
Riordin Nightbane gives you Amulet of Dark Rage.
