Walkthrough
[OPTIONAL] Purchase the rumor A Call To Arms from the barkeepers in either, Al-Jalima, Arwic, Cragstone, Dryreach, Hebian-to, Khayyaban, Lin, Qalaba'r, Tou-Tou or Zaikhal.
This quest involves collecting different parts from Tumerok clans and then combining them to build a banner weapon or caster device, banners can also be turned in for xp and other rewards.
When the quest was introduced during the Crests of a Turbulent Sea event, the banner parts were found on 6 Tumerok clans that were invading different parts of Dereth, however, in a later event the clans were moved in to 6 dungeons near Dryreach.
Inside each clan's dungeon are 5 Tumeroks which drop a certain component for the banner depending on which Tumerok it is:
- Tumerok Standard Bearer - Banner
- Tumerok Lieutenant - Lesser Haft
- Tumerok Major - Greater Haft
- Tumerok Commander - Spear-Head or Symbol
- Tumerok Controller - Crest
Each component changes what type of banner it becomes, for example, spear-head tipped banners are spear weapons, the symbol-tipped banners are wands and crest-tipped banners are spears with a damage of 1. Crested weapons can be turned in for an Assault Weapon.
Each component also gives the completed banner an additional spell:
Component | Spell |
---|---|
Falcon Banner | Sprint Self III |
Serpent Banner | Invulnerability Self III |
Banner Haft | Mana Conversion Mastery Other III |
Reinforced Banner Haft | Mana Conversion Mastery Other V |
Shreth Banner | Warrior's Vitality |
Reedshark Banner | Quickness Self IV |
Sturdy Banner Haft | Mana Conversion Mastery Other III |
Plated Banner Haft | Mana Conversion Mastery Other V |
Gromnie Banner | Armor Self V |
Mask Banner | Warrior's Greater Intellect |
Durable Banner Haft | Mana Conversion Mastery Other III |
Perfect Banner Haft | Mana Conversion Mastery Other V |
When you have completed a clan banner return it to an Army Recruiter in one of the capital towns for a reward (see below). You can also turn in the individual banners for a small xp reward (5000 xp). If you do not want the xp reward, you can also hand the individual banners to any of the master house decorators: Bartholomew Steiner, Jubei Minawoto and Jordan Ibn'Ikia for a framed banner that can be placed on a wall hook.
And finally, you can also hand in the completed banner to the recruiters for an experience reward and items such as Gems of Worth, High Stakes Gambling Tokens and Assault Weapons.

Notes
- There were originally only 4 Assault weapons available during the Crests of a Turbulent Sea event, instead tokens were handed out by the Army Recruiters in place of the missing weapons. When the other 7 weapons were made available during A Gathering of Colors the original tokens could be given in for special tokens which still have no apparent use.
- Gems of Worth were also added as an additional reward during the A Gathering of Colors event.
- It became possible to get the unhafted banners framed and made hookable by the furniture crafters during A Perfect Paradox.
