yeah that sounds fine to leave the special props on the ID panel as links.

I like it, since it will be redirecting from the old entry to the category page, would you have a problem leaving the properties as hotlinks (so we'd just be adding the category tags instead of doing that and removing the hotlinks)? Since we're using a gray background the color isn't the issue it would have been with a brown or dark texture background. The more ways to get to something usually helps the wiki ease of navigation. --[[User:Tlosk|Tlosk]] 21:00, 17 June 2008 (CDT)

I am going ahead and adding the light grey template as the standard item template for all items, armor, and weapons. There will be a change in how special properties are listed. They will now be listed on the item, and also tagged as a category. I'll work on redoing the category page once I redesign the item templates.

I met several dead ends on formating issues so I decided to let it stew for a while and then come back to it. I've been adding ones with new templates primarly to get experience working with different methods, it usually takes a while to work out all the different small things that work better one way or another. Once we get a standard format I can go back through and reformat older entries. That macro I made for reformatting the creature entries worked well, could do about 4-5 a minute. I'm sure I can adapt it for this as well.--Tlosk 17:01, 20 May 2008 (CDT)

So, we sort of dropped it for a bit, but do you think we should update the item templates (item/weapon/armor)? In Talk:Weapon Stat Template we have two newer styles which simply list the information pretty much exactly as it is displayed in game. I think those templates look a lot cleaner, and I believe they also take less code to create.

Also, on the topic of item templates: special properties. Someone posted the idea to categroy tag items with their special property. I like the idea. In addition to this, we would make the Special Property part of the item description link to the special property category page. And for example the Armor Cleaving page would have its info moved to and then redirect to the Category:Armor Cleaving page, so if you want to know what a spec prop does, you just click on the category.
