:: Both the NPC template and the vendor template need a complete overhaul. For vendors who sell a lot of stuff its completely a mess. We'll have to evaluate this at some point, and probably come up with a new template with Tlosk's new technique, which will undoubtedly make it a lot easier to manage. --Atarax 11:29, 5 February 2009 (CST) | :: Both the NPC template and the vendor template need a complete overhaul. ::: I just added a template for listing items sold, Template:Shopkeeper Inventory. I'm thinking that what might be useful is to have a section on the talk page here with complete listings of items for the various categories with face values listed so you could copy it and then just delete items that aren't sold for a particular vendor instead of having to do lots of typing. I can add a tool to the swiss tool that can convert all the prices to the actual prices with a single click (you'd copy the list after deleting ones not sold there, press the button and it would ask what the exchange rate is, then it would convert all the prices and then put the result back into the clipboard ready to be pasted). --Tlosk 15:50, 18 February 2009 (CST) |

just created this based on the page I created for Jeeves. What do you think? --An Adventurer 15:11, 5 October 2008 (CDT)
I love the template, and have been using it extensively. Since getting the Inventory done, it makes it possible to find where to obtain an Apple or a purple Belt Pouch :). A few remarks though.
- A standard size for the picture of the Shopkeeper? In the beginning, I just used a fitting image, nowadays I use a standard 300x400px with the upper body of the NPC (similar to the creature image size)
- Getting the pricing in, is a lot of work, especially for shopkeepers who sell a lot of items.
- Is it possible to somehow include the sell and buy rates? like, sells at 150%, buys at 90%?
- Not all shopkeepers accept all wares to be sold there, for example peas and jewelry at armorers.
- Also, I have been working on trying to get general descriptions for, well, type of shopkeepers (See for example Bowyer or Provisioner). This is still under construction, since I would also here like to incorporate buy/sell rates. In some cases, I've been using a Notes section to add this info, see for example Spice Merchant Chiani--Sanddh 14:50, 22 Januar 2009 (CET)
