The dagger is a low cost racial weapon skill which Aluvians are automatically trained in, making it one of the lowest cost skills to specialize when you are the proper race.

The dagger skill has undergone much rebalancing. Originally underpowered, they very soon were given double and triple strike capabilities. This however made them more powerful than even the best swords, at a fraction of the skill cost.

Triple strike was later removed from the hilted weapons, and new weapons with higher base damage but without the abilty to be hilted were introduced. After tinkering was introduced, dagger became the weakest weapon, even weaker than other racial weapons.

Variance and Max Damage were tweaked upwards, until today it has a Damage over Time rating on a par with other racial weapons.
