Quest Overview

The goal of this quest is to find Exploration Markers that have been placed at different locations all over Dereth and its surrounding islands. Each patch ten new Markers are added to be found. Some Markers belong to a particular theme (ex. they are found near Festival Stones) but some are completely random locations. The pattern appears to be that there is an official theme every other month, however, during months without a an official theme there are still unofficial themes (like markers found near places associated with Grael) that do not have a special title for finding them.

The quest culminated in 100 total markers during the 10th anniversary patch. The reward for all 100 is a global with your name plus a 30 slot backpack.

Dereth Exploration/Markers by Efficiency : For running this quest in one long series. Time required is about ten hours, give or take help with some of the more difficult dungeons.

Walk Through

  1. Speak to Sean the Speedy at 42.3N, 33.7E in Holtburg to flag for the markers.
  2. Find the Exploration Markers. Rewards are earned every 10 markers, explorer titles are rewarded for every 20 markers, and special titles are rewarded for finding complete sets.

For a listing of markers by location / efficient route rather than by month, see Dereth Exploration/Markers by Efficiency.
