Also known as the Tall Trees, the Deru Trees of Marae Lassel are young Deru Trees found in the northeastern corner of the Marescent Plateau. When in the area of the trees, one can often hear them speaking. The trees are named Skuld, Urd and Verdandi in their own language (what this language is has yet to be determined).

In the Risks and Rewards event, these trees were assaulted by the Old One known as T'thuun. In Seeds of Corruption, the following event, the Aun tumeroks came up with a plan to defend the Deru trees from the Old One.
