Quest Overview
This once per character quest is the third in a series of Shadow quests. You must complete the Strange Crystal Quest quest and then wait 13 days before you may begin this quest.
Walk Through
- You MUST have completed the Shadow Communication quest AND the Strange Crystal Quest. Also, at least 13 days must have passed since you completed the Strange Crystal Quest, if you have done it more recently than that Isin Dule will not allow you to begin this quest (wait for the 13 days to run out and then you can do this quest).
- To begin this quest, regardless of which side you choose, you can begin by speaking to Isin Dule. He will ask you to find Ler Rhan, who is located in the buried shadow spire The Shadows (29.5S, 94.2E). Travel to Ler Rhan, and he will give you a Message from Ler Rhan to Ter Shen..
- At this point, you must make the decision concerning which side you will take. Siding with Isin Dule gives you the "Hopebringer" title, while siding with Ler Rhan gives you the "Shadow Puppet" title.
- If you wish to side with Isin Dule, go speak with him now. He will send you on a mission to interrupt the ritual. If you wish to side with the shadows, simply head to the cave.
Siding with Ler Rhan

- Head directly to the Summoning Cave located at 29.2S 95.8E. Do not speak to Isin Dule, if you have already spoken to him see the next section.
- You will be ported into a version of the dungeon with NPC shadows.
- Find Ter Shen and give him the message.
- He will instruct you to speak with Quaron, who is around the corner, who should give you a Door Key (Summoning Cave) to use on the two locked doors further down.
- Unlock both doors, speak to both shadows, and they will open the further doors for you.
- From here, jump down and find two strange crystals, use them to get a Strange Purple Crystal. (If you die defending the summoners, the strange crystals have a 30 minute cooldown timer. When the timer is up you can grab a new crystal.)
- Once you have two of these, there is a large room in this part of the dungeon which should have spawned two Bael'Zharon Summoners.
- Give each summoner a crystal, and defend them until the Void of Bael'Zharon spawns, continue to defend until he disappears and drops some Energy Scintillas.
- Bring the Energy Scintilla to Ler Rhan for your reward.
- Note: If you bring the Energy Scintilla to Isin Dule, he will kill you.
Siding with Isin Dule
- After receiving the Message from Ler Rhan to Ter Shen., go speak with Isin Dule right away, if you go to the Summoning Cave first, please see the previous section.
- Now you can go to the Summoning Cave located at 29.2S 95.8E.
- In this version of the dungeon, the shadows are all able to be attacked, and there are no shadow NPC's.
- As you progress through the dungeon, one of the side rooms has a shadow which drops the Door Key.
- Further in you will come to a 3 way split with 2 locked doors, and one door that requires a button to be pressed.
- Unlock each door and press the button in each room to open the doors to the summoning room.
- Defeat the Bael'Zharon Summoners and the Void of Bael'Zharon (NPC) will disappear, leaving behind Energy Scintilla's on the ground.
- Note: Bael'Zharon Summoners in the final room do not show up on radar, select them using bracket keys ( [ ] ), or by directly clicking upon them.
- Bring the Energy Scintilla back to Isin Dule for your reward.

Isin Dule tells you, "Go to this cave and disrupt the ritual they are using to bring Bael'Zharon out of his prison and to the surface."
Isin Dule tells you, "I have sent others on this mission as well. Hopefully they will be of assistance to you in completing this mission."
Isin Dule tells you, "The ritual has been stopped? Excellent news."
Isin Dule tells you, "You got a strange shard flowing with energy from the dungeon? I would like to see that."
You allow Isin Dule to examine your Energy Scintilla.
