Lore and Background
Commander Jared Kurth played a major role during the The War of Blood and Shadow Story Arc. Originally, Commander Jared Kurth was the Commander of the Garrison at Fort Teth.
He got an unusual offer during the Friend and Foe event (see the Teaser Friend and Foe). This offer came from the Viamontians lead by King Varicci (see Fort Tethana Tug of War and the lore items Tethana's Response, Tethana's Price and The Queen's Missive).
Dissatisfied with the support he got from Queen Elysa, he took up the offer of Count Dardante and the viamontian King Varicci to take up the command of his army, and a special sword, Heartbreaker, was forged for him (Teaser Ashes and Dust). He was turned into a raving creature without a will of his own (Through Sacrifice, Strength#Ulgrim Rumors).
After being defeated by Antius Blackmoor, Commander Kurth , armed with a new weapon, was again released upon various towns across the land (The Price of Loyalty - Letter to the Players).
