Quest Overview
Though not a part of the Rossu Morta line of loyalty quests, you must be a member of the Rossu Morta in order to do this quest due to the starting location being the Rossu Morta Chapterhouse.
Walk Through
- Speak with Barsinni in the Rossu Morta Chapterhouse.
- Go to the Lost Messenger's Corpse at 54.2S, 82.9W and use it to retrieve the Messenger's Journal.
- Route: Run from Ayan Baqur.
- [OPTIONAL] Bring the journal page back to Barsinni (to save time, can be completed later).
- Go to the Assassins' Hideout at 54.5S, 80.7W.
- Proceed to the end. Find and kill Acolyte Herren. Loot his key, open his chest, and obtain the Intercepted Note.
- Return to Barsinni and present him with the note for your reward.

Barsinni tells you, "Come closer, friend, you might be able to help me. One of our messengers vanished on the way back from a meeting with some, ah, new associates. He was last seen in a wooded Direlands valley, around 83 W, 54 S. He was bringing back some very important information for us. We must assume he was intercepted. Find him, but most importantly, find the information he was bringing back to us!"
You search the fallen messenger's corpse and turn up a scrap of paper with some scribbled writing on it.
Lost Messenger's Corpse gives you Messenger's Journal.
You have already searched the messenger's corpse and found a page of his journal. Nothing of interest remains.
You give Barsinni Messenger's Journal.
You've earned 1,378,212 experience. (level 120)
Barsinni tells you, "So it seems to me that our messenger was intercepted, and most likely by these people he spotted... You must investigate this assassins' hideout he wrote of. It says here that the hideout is not that far east of where he was brought down. Go there and retrieve the message he was carrying for us. For now, I will reward you for finding this page of the messenger's note..."
