Walk Through
- Optional: Purchase the Halls of Metos rumor.
- Head to either the Halls of Metos near Ayan Baqur and the one near Wai Jhou. The order is unimportant, but you will need to visit both. Shortcut portals have been created so lower level characters can reach these dungeons located in the dangerous Direlands.
- The Halls of Metos near Wai Jhou is located at 61.4S, 46.6W.
- Route 1: Lytelthorpe to Neu Gerz Villas (2.2N, 50.3E), south from Neu Gerz to Imuth Maer Doquin (11.6S, 57.9E). In one of the ruins behind a fake wall is the Gateway to the Halls of Metos portal.
- Route 2: Run from Wai Jhou, Small Black Hill, the Graveyard, or other nearby location.
- The Halls of Metos near Ayan Baqur is located at 56.0S, 89.2W.
- Route 1: Zaikhal to Sharvale (12.7N, 4.2E), southwest from Sharvale to a Halls of Metos portal (12.8N, 12.2W) that leads directly to the Ayan Metos.
- Route 2: Run from Ayan Baqur or other nearby location.
- Proceed to the end of the dungeon and collect the special Pyreal Mote. Repeat for other Halls of Metos.
- Once you have the motes from Ayan and Wai Jhou, proceed to the Halls of Metos near Tufa located at 4.4Sm 0.6W.
- Route 1: Al-Jalima to Midsong Cottages (4.3N, 12.3E), south from Midsong cottages to the Halls of Metos.
- Route 2: Yaraq to Aqalah (7.1S, 2.7W), northeast from Aqalah to the Halls of Metos.
- Proceed to the end of the dungeon, to the same room where you found the motes in the previous two halls.
- Give your two special motes to the Golem Warden of Metos to receive your rewards.

Original rumors:
- Town Crier tells you, "Have you heard of an Empyrean named Metos? I do not know what is significant about him, but adventurers have reported strange discoveries in the Halls that bear his name."
- Town Crier tells you, "Did you know Metos was actually a person? Apparently he was an Empyrean expert in the construction of Golems, and a friend of Asheron. You learn something new every day..."
- Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Metos? He was a hack. Many of his Golems are still functioning to this day. What kind of design is that? A smart engineer would design the Golems to break down after a few years. That way people have to go to you to fix or replace them. Perfect job security. What's the use of making ones that just keep working forever? See, and everyone keeps talking about how smart Empyreans are."
Level 1 - 79:
- You give Golem Warden of Metos Pyreal Mote.
- You've earned 1,317,983 experience.
- The golem speaks in a low, gravelly, regulated voice.
- Golem Warden of Metos tells you, "My power level has reached half. If you supply me with a mote from the Halls of Metos in the southwestern part of Ireth Lassel, I should be able to fully serve you."
- You give Golem Warden of Metos Pyreal Mote.
- You've earned 2,899,563 experience.
- The golem speaks in a normal voice - perhaps Empyrean by its accent.
- Golem Warden of Metos tells you, "For you who have come this far, I leave a message. Your diligence is appreciated, even applauded, but you should not attempt to reconstruct the portal to Bur. I have learned only too well the risks associated with opening portals to other worlds, and alloing them to remain open. It is better if my portal remains closed. I should be able to repoen it when it is time for me to return. At this point, I shall hopefully have with me a solution to the Burun problem."
- Golem Warden of Metos tells you, "Also, I imagine that Metos would have appreciated if I mention that there are no inactive golems available for you. Unfortunately, I required the last one for the portal ritual."
- A piece of paper is ejected from the golem slowly, which you take.
- Golem Warden of Metos gives you Ruminations and Warnings on Portal Creation.
Level 80+:
- You give Golem Warden of Metos Pyreal Mote.
- You've earned 1,317,983 experience.

- You give Golem Warden of Metos Pyreal Mote.
- You've earned 2,899,563 experience.
- The golem speaks in a low, gravelly, regulated voice.

- Golem Warden of Metos tells you, "Please return later, and I hope I will be able to supply you in the future."
