For Shadow Armor (Non-Level Restricted, Lower Base AL):

1. Combine 2 Dark Shards to create a Shadow Fragment:
   • File:Dark Shard icon.png + File:Dark Shard icon.png = File:Shadow Fragment icon.png
2. Combine 2 Small Shards to create a Crystal Fragment:
   • File:Small Shard icon.png + File:Small Shard icon.png = File:Crystal Fragment icon.png
3. Combine a Shadow Fragment with a Crystal Fragment to create a Sparkling Gem:
   • File:Shadow Fragment icon.png + File:Crystal Fragment icon.png = File:Sparkling Gem icon.png
4. Bring your Sparkling Gems to the appropriate NPC to receive Shadow Armor. You must have 2 Sparkling Gem for complete armor in any given set.
   • Amuli: Jibril ibn Rashid - 7.1N, 3.0E in Al-Jalima -- (1st Gem gives Legs, 2nd Gem gives Jacket)
   • Celdon: Alean the Steel Forger - 18.5N, 62.8E in Eastham -- (1st Gem gives Legs/Girth, 2nd Gem gives Breastplate/Sleeves)
   • Koujia: Koga Hideki - 82.9S, 46.0E in Kara -- (1st Gem gives Legs, 2nd Gem gives Breastplate/Sleeves)
   • Alduressa: Iian Di - 89.0N, 67.6W in Silyun -- (1st Gem gives Legs, 2nd Gem gives Jacket)

For GREATER Shadow Armor (Level 30+, Higher Base AL):

1. Combine 2 Dark Shards to create a Shadow Fragment:

2. Combine 2 Small Shards to create a Crystal Fragment:
   • File:Small Shard icon.png + File:Small Shard icon.png = File:Crystal Fragment icon.png
3. Combine a Shadow Fragment with a Crystal Fragment to create a Sparkling Gem:
   • File:Shadow Fragment icon.png + File:Crystal Fragment icon.png = File:Sparkling Gem icon.png
4. Combine 2 Sparkling Gems to create a Scintillating Gem:

5. Bring your Scintillating Gems to the appropriate NPC to receive Shadow Armor. You must have 2 Scintillating Gem for complete armor in any given set.

   • Jo Ten-Ma - 82.9 S, 46.0E near Kara.

• During the Persuasion event, the ability to dye your Shadow Armor became available.
• During A Gathering of Colors, a new quest became available to turn your Shadow Armor into Sharded Shadow Armor.
• During A Change in Tactics, a new quest became available to turn your Shadow Armor into Prismatic Shadow Armor.
• During the Down Twisting Paths event, a new Alduressa Shadow Armor quest became available.
