During the To Raise a Banner of Flame event, the Master Armor Smiths were murdered by Hamud ibn Rafik and unable to create armor at its original strength. However, the armor level has been returned to the original pre-patch values prior to the To Raise a Banner of Flame event and can now be dyed with dye pots and improved with Armor Shards for major protection cantrips.
