- Received in exchange for killing 50 tentacles on Freebooter Isle for Valerian McGreggor.
- Turn one shard into an Agent of the Arcanum and receive a Pristine Mana Shard in return.
- Shards of Mana were retired in Seeds of Corruption when Valerian was changed to give the Pristine Shards directly.
