Quest Overview
- This quest is for the Vanguard Leader's amulet, insignia and his weapon, which is either a morningstar or crossbow depending on which outpost leader you defeat. Both the insignias can be given in for experience. The weapons have the Resistance Cleaving: Cold property.
Walkthrough
North Outpost: Vanguard Leader's Morningstar
- Head to the North Vanguard Outpost north of Tufa at 7.5S, 0.0W.
- The leader is at the end of the dungeon and is guarded by Tumerok Gladiators. To make your way to him just simply make your way north through the dungeon. You will fight Drudge Raveners, Reedshark Stalkers and various Tumeroks including High Priests and Gladiators along the way.
- Kill the Tumerok North Vanguard Leader and take his morningstar, amulet (if you didn't get one already from the south leader), and also the insignia.
- Give the Northern Tumerok Insignia to Ufet, Prophet of Blades in Zaikhal (13.9N, 0.7E) for 5,000,000 xp.
South Outpost: Vanguard Leader's Crossbow
- Head to the South Vanguard Outpost near Khayyaban at 45.9S, 14.2E.
- Route: Take the Desert Vanguard Cottages portal from Khayyaban at 49.4S, 26.0E.
- The south outpost has similiar creatures as the north dungeon. To reach the leader just run south through the dungeon, most side rooms just loop around to the middle passages anyway so ignore them.
- Kill the Tumerok South Vanguard Leader and take his crossbow, amulet (if you didn't get one already from the north leader), and also the insignia.
- Give the Southern Tumerok Insignia to Ufet, Prophet of Blades in Zaikhal (13.9N, 0.7E) for 5,000,000 xp.

- You've earned 5,000,000 experience.
- You give Ufet, Prophet of Blades Southern Tumerok Insignia.
- Ufet, Prophet of Blades tells you, "Any blow against those wretched creatures is a win in my mind."
- Ufet, Prophet of Blades tells you, "Keep up the good work soldier."
Notes
- During the From Darkness, Light event, both the outposts and their creatures were updated to higher levels. The Vanguard leader started to drop insignia which could be given in for xp, and the weapons that they drop were also updated.
