General
This is a template designed to take advantage of the Alchemical Throwing Phials. Specialized Thrown Weapons helps with the use of phials. This template relies on Arcane Lore for creature and life buffs.
Advantages
- Template completes relatively early.
- Skill/attribute synergy between UA, TW, and Alchemy.
- Has melee and missile combat capabilities.
- High melee defense.
- Buffs from Arcane Lore cannot be dispelled, and do not expire.
- Has life vulnerability debuffing capabilities through throwing phials.
- Throwing phials can be wielded with a shield.
Disadvantages
- Throwing phials have their own disadvantages, including burden/pack space, -10% melee defense, and requiring line of sight and close range to work.
- Creating a suit of armor, jewelry, and clothing to cover all creature and life buffs can be a long and difficult process.
- Low magic resistance.
- Low health.

- At level 12, train Alchemy.
- At level 32, train Item Enchantment.
- At level 60 (55 with Marae Credit) train Mana Conversion.

Tips
- Use your Unarmed Combat for the first few levels to avoid the need for ammunition.

- When crafting with Fletching and Alchemy at lower levels, use the Fletching Forges and Alchemy Forges located in Holtburg, Shoushi, and Yaraq.
Equipment
- Spikes are a great thrown weapon at lower levels, and can be wielded with a shield.
- There are Alchemical Throwing Phials available at all levels of play, which can help greatly with questing and hunting.
- The armor and jewelry from the Exploration Society Letters quest is very useful at lower levels.
- The Skeletal Atlatl and Enhanced Skeletal Atlatl are good Atlatls for lower levels.
- The Gauntlets of Marksmanship and Enhanced Gauntlets of Marksmanship are great items that provide buffs for Thrown Weapons, Melee Defense, and Coordination.
- The Enhanced Basalt Blade is a good 300 skill wield UA weapon with Resistance Cleaving: Fire.
