Fixing this now, I had a few of these on my old site and realized this I got acid axe and ice tachi confused.

This is no longer correct. The mosswart mucker at the location outside of Yanshi now drops an ice tachi. There is another location for the ice tachi as well, near Shoushi by the green mire grave.
the Acid axe is now only found in Suntik, the abandoned village near Zaikhal that is overrun with monogua.
The starting point/rumor for that quest is the corpse at 26.9N, 7.7E. On the corpse is a note which, according to ACexplorer, reads: "Letter of Request
The Naquib of Suntik hereby requests all available mercenaries to assist in the purging our land of the fierce Mnougas. Our stronghold, located 16.2N x 4.4E, is under siege and supplies are low. Monougas are climbing the ridge near 18.5N x 3.6E and following it to our village. We can not hold out for long and our only hope is that this letter is found by a band of mercenaries with the will to help."
