Overview

Help protect Lord Asheron's Portalspace devices from the an offshoot of the Virindi called the 'Apostates'. Kill 30 virindi in any of three locations to earn a house decoration.

Walkthrough & Notes

An Empyrean Device near Neydisa Castle (No Level Restriction)

1. Talk to the Emissary of Asheron in Neydisa Castle at 69.6N, 17.6E.
2. Head to 84.8N, 17.6E.
   • Route: Crater Village to Pavanne Vale Freehold portal at 66.3N, 14.3E.
   • Route 2: Use a Portal Gem to Master Celdiseth the Archmage.
3. Kill 30 Apostate Virindi Aggressors.
4. Use An Empyrean Device to obtain a Faintly Glowing Data Crystal.
5. Return to Neydisa and hand in the Data Crystal for some xp and the Empyrean Portalspace Stabilizer.

An Empyrean Device near Ayan Baqur (Level 90)

1. Talk to the Emissary of Asheron in Ayan Baqur at 60.0S 88.0W by the statue.
2. Head to 65.9S, 85.1W.
3. Kill 30 Apostate Virindi Aggressors.
4. Use An Empyrean Device to obtain a Glowing Data Crystal.
5. Back to Ayan Baqur, and hand in the Data Crystal for some xp and another Empyrean Portalspace Stabilizer.

An Empyrean Device on Freebooter Isle (Level 180)

1. Talk to the Emissary of Asheron on Freebooter Isle at 62.9S, 96.0E.
2. Head to 60.0S, 98.4E.
3. Kill 30 Apostate Virindi Aggressors.
4. Use An Empyrean Device to obtain a Brightly Glowing Data Crystal.
5. Back to the Emissary, and hand in the Data Crystal for some xp and another Empyrean Portalspace Stabilizer.

Notes

• If you use any of the three Devices before killing 30 Virindi, two Apostate Rift Aggressors of an appropriate level will spawn near the device.

The devices are set to both stabilize local portalspace fields and to analyze the disturbances that caused... problems... recently."

Emissary of Asheron tells you, "If you would be willing to go to 84.8N, 17.6E, dispose of 30 of these Apostate Virindi, and bring me back the data the device has collected, my Master would be grateful."

Rewards Dialog

You allow Emissary of Asheron to examine your Glowing Data Crystal.

Emissary of Asheron tells you, "The data crystal. Thank you, you have done well. I have this for you, from Lord Asheron."

The Emissary absorbs the crystal, glowing brighter for a moment, and then hands you a fairly large device similar to the one you just returned from, but much smaller.

You hand over 1 of your Glowing Data Crystals.

Emissary of Asheron tells you, "It seems these Apostate Virindi are the cause of the disturbances, but there is not enough data here to answer why."

Emissary of Asheron tells you, "It will take about a week for the device to collect enough data to give me more information. Come back then if you wish to further aid my Lord Asheron."

Emissary of Asheron gives you Empyrean Portalspace Stabilizer.
