Getting the Quest
This quest consists of completing several sub quests.
Quest Walkthrough
PART ONE: COLLECT THE MATERIALS
Tip: Get several Ancient Monouga Bones, and Purified Spawn Husks before entering the final reward area just in case your timer runs out, and if you did not get extra you will need to repeat well over half of the quest again.
Lasher Progression
- Go to Lahry (Cragstone: 29.6N 7.8W). Enter the portal near him, and kill some rabbits. They eventually drop Rabbit Meat. After you have 3-4 peices move on.
- Go to the Feral Pet Lasher above Arwic Vault (Arwic: 35N 5.2E) and give him a piece of Rabbit Meat. He gives you an Ancient Monouga Bones. Give him all your meat for several bones just to be safe.
Black Mother Earth Progression
- Use a Flowering Bush (found north of Rakani) to receive a Withered Blossom.
- Give the Withered Blossom to the Shrine of Black Mother Earth (Ikeras: 13.5N, 61.0E). You will recieve a recipe for a Garland of Flowers that requires seven Withered Blossoms.
- Craft the Garland of Flowers and return it to the Shrine. You recieve a Scented Blossom.
- Find the Outcast Wasp Queen at (Cragstone: 35.8N 13.9W). Give it the Scented Blossom, you will receive a Wasp Egg Cluster in return.
- Find the Digger Dillo Mama at (Rithwic: 25.0N 5.4E). Give it the Wasp Egg Cluster, you will receive a Succulent Truffle in return.
- Find the Grutt Gourmand at (Rithwic: 21.2N 2.1E). Give it the Succulent Truffle, you will get eight Anthracite Gems in return.
Brother Tanae Progression
- (note: this progression must be completed twice at least its HIGHLY recommended you complete this three or four times). Use a Redberry Bush (found north of Shinoko) to recieve a Redberry.
- Give it to the Shrine to Brother Tanae (Hakata: 3.2N 85.6E). You will recieve a recipe for Redberry Preserves that requires three Redberries.
- Craft the Redberry Preserves and give them to a Cocoon-Shrouded Bush (South of Zu). You will recieve a Spirit Butterfly Token and a Discarded Cocoon in return.
- Go to the Bound Fetich (The Naderu Isle of Contention, 2nd stop on the Nadero ringway out of Rakani) area and find a Corrupted Slithis Pod. Give it the Spirit Butterfly Token and a Purified Spirit Spawn will briefly appear. Quickly hand it the Discarded Cocoon, it will give you Enchanted Silk Thread in return. The Purified Spirit Spawn will disapear leaving only a Purified Spawn Husk. Pick up the Husk. You will want 4 of these purified husks later in case your timer runs out in a later dungeon. If you dont have extra you will need to repeat much of the quest.
PART TWO: COLLECT YOUR REWARD
The Chaos Dungeon
- Give one Anthracite Gem to the Shrine to Mother Aundetanga (Naderu: 32.4N 66.1E). You will receive a recipe for an Anthracite Necklace, which requires an Enchanted Silk Thread and your remaining seven Anthracite Gems.
- Use the Anthracite Necklace. You are portaled into a dungeon full of Empowered Chaos Wisps. You also have a thirty minute effect on you which prevents them from attacking you.
- The dungeon is fairly straightforward. Head down the stairs to the Lasher. Do not talk to the Lasher - he will apply a bleed effect to you. Instead, give it the Ancient Monouga Bones. You will receive a Chaos Key in return.
- Head through the door to the fountain. Do not use the fountain - you will instantly die. Instead, give it the Purified Spawn Husk. You will get an Empowered Spawn Husk in return.
- Handing in the Purified Spawn Husk turns all Wisps in the dungeon into Tainted Rabbits for a random amount of time or kills so its wise to have several extra bones so you can reopen the door, along with extra husks in case you dont get enough perls. Each Rabbit has a Chaos Pearl on its corpse. Kill Rabbits and collect at least eight of these pearls. Remember the time the wisps are rabbits is random.
The Pearl Choker
- Give one Chaos Pearl to the Shrine to Ezereth, Great Father Sea (Shinoko: 7.2S 72.4E). You will receive a recipe for a Pearl Choker in return. This recipe uses one Enchanted Silk Thread and seven additional Chaos Pearls. Do not use the Choker - you will instantly die.
- Go to the Mucor Mushroom Grotto (Farali: 29.8N 82.8E). Run to the bottom and find the Undulating Slithis Tentacle. Give the Chaos Pearl to the Tentacle, it disappears and you get a Slithis Heart in return.
- Use the Slithis Heart. You appear in the chaos dungeon in a previously unaccessible area. Do not touch the Chaos Breach, it will kill you! Give the Empowered Spawn Husk to the Chaos Breach. You recieve a Chaos Power Crystal in return.
- Go to the Deru Tree (Rakani: 28.1N 55.1E). Give the Chaos Power Crystal. Doing this both grants and completes the "Nature's Friend" quest.

Additional Information
- Redberries provide a small damage over time effect when used. This effect lasts approximately five minutes and does not show up with other spells.
- Redberry Preserves provide a small heal over time effect when used. This effect lasts approximately five minutes and does not show up with other spells.
- The Spirit Butterfly Token produces a small (unselectable) butterfly that flies around the character when used. The token is not consumed when it is used.
- The Succulent Truffle and Rabbit Meat are consumed on use, with no effect.
- The Pearl Choker kills you when used.
- All other items listed cannot be used or have no effect.
- Besides Withered Blossoms and Redberries, every single item involved in this quest is attuned: no drop and no give.
