Quest Overview
Quest to reset your loyalties with either of the two factions so you can join its adversary instead.
Walk Through
Speak with the proper NPC to get started, if you have only completed one quest in that faction's line, I.E. Eleonora's Heart Quest for the Whipering Blade or Dericost Ruin Quest for the Ordina Rossu Morta, then you need only pay a single MMD note to reset your faction, otherwise you need to do the full reset quest:
- Whispering Blade - Giordonni at 72.1N, 61.3W in Sanamar
- Ordina Rossu Morta - Lydda at 59.8S, 88.0W in Ayan Baqur
Ruschk Burial Mound (Ordina Rossu Morta)
- Once you have spoken with Lydda in Ayan Baqur head to Ruschk Burial Mound at 91.5N, 69.0W.
- Route: Using the Town Network, take the Silyun portal from the south hall and run to 91.5N, 69.0W.
- Work your way to the bottom where you'll find the Ruschk Crypt Guardian.
- Kill the guardian and loot the Inner Burial Chamber Portal Sending Gem from its corpse.
- Use the portal gem to be portaled to the Inner Burial Chamber.
- Head up the ramp to the North and kill the Ruschk Grave Keeper.
- Once dead, loot the Ruschk Funerary Fetish from its corpse.
- Return the Ruschk Funerary Fetish to Lydda in Ayan Baqur to have your faction loyalty reset.
Sclavus Umbral Forge (Whispering Blade)
- Once you have spoken with Giordonni in Sanamar head to the Sclavus Umbral Forge near the Plateau Village.
- Route: Using the Town Network, take the Plateau Village portal from the north hall and run to 34.1N, 50.6W.
- From the drop run north along the mostly linear path to a room with a surface portal and acid pit.
- There are two exits from this room and you need to take both to retrieve the two items that you need.
- Start by taking the west exit and passing through 3 different areas until you reach a room with a Aste Soul Renderer and Lord. Kill the renderer and loot his key, use the key on the chest and take the Umbral Crucible Top.
- Now head back to the acid room and head east, the layout is pretty much identical.
- Kill the Essa Soul Renderer and take his key, loot the Umbral Crucible Base from the chest and combine it with the top.
- Return the completed Umbral Crucible to Giordonni to reset your faction with the Whispering Blade.

Completing Eleonora's Heart Quest and speaking to Giordonni
- Giordonni tells you, "You've just done the one thing in the Grand Mother's service? If you regret what you have done, and wish to serve King Varicci, I can help you."
- Giordonni tells you, "For the price of an MMD note, my associates and I can erase any evidence that you served the Grand Mother on that single occasion."
- Giordonni tells you, "Be warned, however, that neither I nor my associates will be able to do anything like this for you again."
Completing the Knights of Karlun Quest or more and speaking to Giordonni
- Giordonni tells you, "I see that you have done a couple of things for the Grand Mother of Silyun. If you regret what you have done, and wish to serve King Varicci, my associates and I can help you. With a word in the right ear, we can make your disloyal acts disappear from the royal archives."
- Giordonni tells you, "But first you must do something for me. I seek some arcane magical equipment, guarded by Sclavus in a fortified compound at 34.1 N, 50.6 W. Bring me the Sclavus' Umbral Crucible, and your record will be cleansed. I should tell you that the artifact may be incomplete, and need to be re-assembled."
- Giordonni tells you, "Be warned, such influence as I wield must be exercised with discretion, so neither I nor my associates will do this more than once for you."
- You give Giordonni Umbral Crucible.
- Giordonni tells you, "Excellent work. I will make sure that the royal archives no longer have any trace of your cooperation with the Grand Mother or Queen Elysa. However, this does not mean the King's agents or the Grand Knight will trust you. You will have to earn their trust."
Speaking to Giordonni after you have reset your loyalty
- Giordonni tells you, "I have already helped you erase all traces of your previous loyalty to the Grand Mother and Queen Elysa. What else could you need?"
Completing the Whispering Blade Chapterhouse Access quest and speaking to Giordonni
- Giordonni tells you, "Ha! Good try, friend. I can already see you have become a full member of the Whispering Blade. There are some archives that are beyond my reach. I cannot help you."
Ordina Rossu Morta
- Lydda tells you, "I see that you have gone to some great lengths to serve King Varicci's interests. If you regret what you have done, and wish to take service under Queen Elysa, my associates and I can help you. We can arrange to have all evidence of your... transgressions disappear."
- Lydda tells you, "But first you must do something for me. I seek an artifact, a Ruschk funerary fetish, from the Ruschk burial mound at 91.5 N, 68.8 W. Bring me the artifact, and your record will be wiped clean."
- Lydda tells you, "Be warned, this is a very difficult and risky operation, so neither I nor my associates will do this for you again. We will only help you change your allegiance once."
- You give Lydda Ruschk Funerary Fetish.
- Lydda tells you, "Excellent work. I will make sure that the royal archives no longer have any trace of your cooperation with King Varicci. However, this does not mean the Queen's agents or the Grand Mother will trust you. You will have to earn their trust."
Completing Whispering Blade quests and speaking to Lydda
- Lydda tells you, "If you have been helping the rebels and Queen Elysa and seek to clear your record to take service with King Varicci, I suggest you speak with my associate, Giordonni, in Sanamar."
Attempting to try a second reset with the adversary faction
- Lydda tells you, "Ah, I can see that some of my associates have already helped you erase the evidence of your previous loyalty to Queen Elysa. We can do no more for you."
