Walk Through
- Speak to Laedron the Geomancer at 59.9S 88.0W in Ayan Baqur. He will give you A Field Guide to Tainted Nodes.
- As a server you will need to activate the six nodes:
- Aerlinthe Node Pyramid: 84.1N 44.1E (Blighted Pyreal Golems)
- A'mun Node Pyramid: 38.2S 12.0E (Blighted Sotiris Hollow Minions)
- Halaetan Node Pyramid: 93.8N 67.4W (Blighted Hoary Armoredillos)
- Linvak Node Pyramid: 64.8S 59.3E (Blighted Dire Ursuins)
- Esper Node Pyramid: 62.0N 18.0E (Blighted Oak Golems)
- Obsidian Node Pyramid: 68.0S 62.2W (Blighted Bane Grievvers)
- Near each node a species of blighted creature can be found that will occassionally drop a Blighted Mana Crystal which is then given to the node. Crystals can be given to any node from any of the six creatures (they are interchangable). A large number is required (unknown but it appears at least over 1000 total, though a reset bug has appeared on VT which casts doubt on the accuracy of any current estimates). Another possiblity, since the pyramids seem to be segrated along different level ranges, is that each pyramid has a unique number required to be turned in. So for example the one in the Obsidian Plains would require more than the others since it's in the highest level area (and has far more abundant spawns of blighteds than other areas). Currently no server had filled a node past the half way mark.

Laedron the Geomancer tells you, "Greetings! Are you here to help reclaim the land's ley lines from the corruption of T'thuun? At the behest of our noble Queen Elysa, the mage Asheron has raised six pyramids over the most tainted ley nodes in Dereth, the sites most under the grip of the wicked creature T'thuun. These pyramids must be powered! Certain creatures found in the vicinity of those nodes sometimes bear tiny crystals of concentrated, tainted mana."
Laedron the Geomancer tells you, "Bring these crystals to each of the pyramids! Once a pyramid has been sufficiently stoked by brave Derethians such as yourself, all that will be required to defeat T'thuun's power at that site is to destroy the guardian that T'thuun has stationed there... I have written a book that explains all this. I'll give you one now..."
