Learning from experience update, no trinket, level 230:

You've earned 98,000,000 experience. --An Adventurer 13:50, 2 May 2011 (EST)

Experience Reward

When this quest was first introduced, the reward was 29,176,000 (7% up to level 160).

In January 2011's Learning From Experience, the reward was updated to 98,000,000. It is not known if this was a fixed reward or pxp. This information comes from my other message on this talk page, and I believe it to be accurate as I copy/pasted the dialog directly from the game.

The current version of the Update History section lists that in October 2009's Gears of Change, the exp reward was updated to 100,000,000.

I do not believe that the Gears of Change reward update happened. There is no mention of it in the Gears of Change release notes, and the only change that is documented to have occurred then is the introduction of the Red Runed weapon tokens / the ability to trade in your weapon.

The first revision to include the 100 mil reward from Gears of Change was actually from June 2, 2012 and is actually formatted as:

Note that the 100 mil reward is not a bullet point under Gears of Change.

In conclusion, I believe that after the Learning From Experience event, someone ran the quest (probably with a exp boosting trinket), got an amount close to 100,000,000, and just added a quick note about the update. Later on when someone was cleaning up the Update History section that note mistakenly got put under Gears of Ghange.

I will be updating the guide to reflect what I believe the reward was along with the correct update history.
