Grievver Weapons

Background

Long long ago, when Olthoi ruled the land, there was a nomadic band of Gharu trying to seek shelter from the endless attacks.

Among them was Guthras, an exceptional mage of his time. The Ghau tribesmen were driven to seek shelter underground, where they met a powerful group of Grievver. Koigi Ema and her brood.

Description

Grievver weapons were introduced during the "Koigi Ema" Live event story arc. They are very powerful Lightning rended weapons with a Grievver Slayer property.

Quest Walkthrough

1. Speak with Jahimee bint Guthras, located in Grievver Valley north of Stonehold at 75.7N, 20.6W. Perform her task to receive Refined Chitin
2. Go to 76.3N, 23.1W and select the "debris" to enter into the really nasty grievver dungeon. Inside, take all right turns and go down ramps. Finally, encounter Teine-ema and kill. Need a group for this part. Once the room is cleared, continue until you come to an impassable web. Only melee can damage the web. Use slashing -- this takes a long time. Other teammates guard against respawn. The web remains broken for 10 minutes. Now go loot your Petrified Grievver Egg!
3. Use a Mortar and Pestle (no alchemy skill check) on the Petrified Grievver Egg to get Ground Grievver Egg.
4. Use Aqua Incanta on the Ground Grievver Egg to yield Grievver Essence.
5. Use Refined Chitin on the Grievver Essence to yield Infused Refined Chitin.
6. Visit Silencia the Archmage in Crater Village and purchase a brown/grey glyph of the type of weapon you would like. Use the glyph on the Infused Refined Chitin. NOTE: for 2-handed spears you cannot use the "Two Handed Spear" glyph. Use the "Spear" glyph instead. This will yield a "Spear-stamped Chitin Bar". You have stamped your chitin.
7. Use a level 8 creature spell glyph on the stamped Chitin Bar. Make sure to use the skill you want (such as 2-handed, or HW/LW/FW, Life, War, Void, Bow, etc). You have bound your kit to Two-hand Weapons.
8. Journey to the forge located at 23.5N, 7.7W and use the forge on the item produced in the previous step. Note that this location is a bit difficult to get to (terrain being what it is), but know that it can be done.You have successfully forged your weapon.
