Yes and no, someone coming to the site that doesn't log in will see the most ads (which I agree can be a lot), more so on the main page, less so on side pages. Logging in reduces some of them, using the Monobook skin gives an approximation of the current arrangement. Using a browser like firefox with popular plugins renders a site almost identical to what we have now.
Please do leave a comment on Talk:Wikia Migration, we haven't made a final decision yet and are waiting for everyone to weigh in that wants to. --Tlosk 18:48, 18 September 2009 (UTC)

I've racked my brains over it for quite a while and any solution I came up with just made more problems than it solved since you can count on one hand the items with negative mods. At the time my thinking was also that it is still technically accurate, though doesn't look good at all.
Actually now that I think about it some more one thing we could do is just have a nonstandard parameter that would only be used in those cases. I'll add one in a minute. Going to see if I can do a search that finds any other cases first. --Tlosk 22:48, September 29, 2009 (UTC)
