Re: Training Academy Quest‎

Hey, thanks for fixing that reward entry. At least some of the set item rewards are described in the Dialog section. For brevity, here is what it states:

  • Pathwarden Scale Leggings > Sturdy Iron Key
  • Pathwarden Sollerets > Salvaged Steel
  • Pathwarden Gauntlets > Salvaged Steel
  • Pathwarden Helm > Salvaged Granite

Additionally, I went digging through the Notes sections of the items.

All robes can be turned in for a SIK.

All leggings can be turned in for a SIK

All hauberks can be turned in for a SIK. The Yoroi hauberk did not specifically have a note stating this, but the rest did.

Re: Havala bint Mylos Dialog

Hey, can you show me where to find PCAP'd NPC dialog? I'm not convinced that the current and retired dialog were swapped for this NPC. I know that the dialog about the 1,000 pyreal trade note existed since this NPC was introduced, and there is a specific date when the "new" dialog was added.

Maggie's patch notes for Corrupted Sovereigns has the following dialog:

Havala bint Mylos tells you, "If you wish to craft a Composite Atlatl for yourself I'll sell you a copy of my book on the subject for a Trade Note worth 1000 pyreals."

Havala bint Mylos tells you, "If you are looking to upgrade your atlatl or simply wish to help me collect some materials for my craft I have a small task for you."

Havala bint Mylos tells you, "I've heard of a chain of Ancient Caves where an unknown creature's bones may be found. These bones make exceptional handles for the Composite Atlatl. Unfortunately the caves are infested with Grievvers and can be quite dangerous for an unprepared explorer. Go and find a Hardened Bone in the middle level of the caves. I wouldn't suggest going deeper into the caves alone, but there are other bones that I can use buried in the deeper levels, should you risk the depths."

You give Havala bint Mylos Trade Note (1,000).

Havala bint Mylos tells you, "Here you are, the secrets to crafting your own Composite Atlatl."

Havala bint Mylos gives you Havala's Composite Atlatl Manual.

The earliest version history of Havala bint Mylos from October 29, 2008 has the following dialog:

Havala bint Mylos tells you, "If you wish to craft a Composite Atlatl for yourself I'll sell you a copy of my book on the subject for a Trade Note worth 1000 pyreals."

Havala bint Mylos tells you, "If you are looking to upgrade your bow or simply wish to help me collect some materials for my craft I have a small task for you."

Go and find a Fossilized Bone in the deepest depths of the cavern. There are other bones on the upper levels of the cave that I can use as well."

A revision from August 6, 2009 is the first version with the new dialog, and listing the other dialog as retired:

Havala bint Mylos tells you, "Have you read my work on composite atlatls?"

Havala bint Mylos gives you Havala's Composite Atlatl Manual.

Havala bint Mylos tells you, "I can help you by carving pieces of horn to go into the atlatl's stave. Later, if your skills have outgrown your Composite Atlatl I might have a way to upgrade it."

You give Havala bint Mylos Great Mattekar Horn.

Havala bint Mylos tells you, "Yes, this will be suitable. I can carve this into a shape suitable for atlatl construction."

Havala bint Mylos gives you Carved Great Mattekar Horn.

(Retired)

Havala bint Mylos tells you, "If you wish to craft a Composite Atlatl for yourself I'll sell you a copy of my book on the subject for a Trade Note worth 1000 pyreals."

Havala bint Mylos tells you, "If you are looking to upgrade your bow or simply wish to help me collect some materials for my craft I have a small task for you."

Go and find a Fossilized Bone in the deepest depths of the cavern. There are other bones on the upper levels of the cave that I can use as well."

My assumption here is that the "new" dialog that was added in the August 6, 2009 revision is actually the dialog you receive after you've given the NPC the 1,000 Trade Note once. I cannot confirm that, but that makes more sense to me than starting with that dialog, changing it, then changing it back again (according to the PCAPs you mentioned).

If that is the case, the only retired dialog is the version from Maggie's site, which has a slightly different 3rd line.
