Any chance of getting autotarget to pay attention to walls/floors?

Question Title: Any chance of getting autotarget to pay attention to walls/floors?
Category: Combat
Question: As a melee'r I find it highly annoying to be, say, in a dungeon, fighting one creature in a hallway, and have another creature on the other side of a wall, and have the autotarget (after killing a creature) to target the creature I can't reach.

It's even worse if I want to attack a creature who's across the room, but the autotarget wants me to attack a creature who's one floor below me.

I can see where life and creature mages might appreciate this feature, but those of us who need to come up close to a monster to kill it, find it annoying.

Is there a possibility of perhaps adding a check box to the combat screen "Autotarget ignores walls/floors" that can be turned on or off appropriately? Or, at least, takes them into account when doing the targetting?

Thanks.

Answer: Walls and floors? No... the selection system just doesn't understand physical boundaries.

However, looking at it, it would be possible to add "height checking", so that things immediately below you are not considered as "near" to you as things that are at the same height as you. So effectively taking floors into account, you might say.

I'll see about adding that to the "to do" list...
