Question: would it be possiable to explaine how magic resistance works?
I have the skill trained and it's never seems to do anything.

Answer: Once a spell has sucessfully connected with the target, a skill check is made. A roll is made and then the caster's magic skill is compared to the defender's magic resistance and if the caster's skill does not overcome the defender's resistance, the spell is resisted.

Furthermore, magic resistance is a binary equation. It either hits or it doesn't, there is no partial success. The damage incurred is not reduced by magic resistance.
