Virindi and Tumerok Invasion

During the "Crests of a Turbulent Sea" event, the Virindi allied Tumerok clans invaded different parts of Dereth while menacing Virindi controlled towers hovered near the capital towns of Cragstone, Hebian-To and Zaikhal.[1]

In response to the invasion, Army Recruiters appeared in each of the capitals and the barkeeps started selling rumors to entice players to join the resistance. The recruiters offered rewards for any banners dropped by the invading Tumeroks.[1]

Camps near the floating towers were later found that were inhabited by uniquely named Tumeroks. Portals were summoned to camp dungeons when these Tumeroks were killed. At the end of the camp dungeon was a portal to the top of the Virindi Tower nearest the camp. Inside the tower was a "controller" such as the Controller Doll found in the Advance towers.[1]

Once the controller was killed, a server broadcast message was made and the Advance camp disappeared - only to be replaced by another camp near the 2nd tower, the Middle Guard tower, which naturally had harder creatures and a higher level requirement to enter.[1]

It is unknown what effect killing the final Controller in each of the 3rd and final Reinforcement Towers had during the event.

Tumerok Banners Quest

Lieutenant Kenneth tells you, "Hello, my name is Kenneth. I'm here to help direct an organized resistance against the Virindi and Tumerok attacks. If you give me a banner, I will gladly reward you, as it is proof of your heroism."
Ufet, Prophet of Blades tells you, "Good Day. My name is Ufet, and I am here to organize the defense of Gharu'ndim from the depredations of the Tumeroks and Virindi. If you grant me any banner, I will reward you for your heroism. The more developed the banner, the more of a reward I will provide."
Shosa Kiroji Matanui tells you, "Greetings! My name is Kiroji, and I am a Shosa in the Sho Army. We must rally to deal with the Virindi - Tumerok alliance. We must not allow Hebian-To to fall! I will reward any who bring me the banners of our fallen enemy."

Killing a Tower Controller Master

As the Virindi dies, it screams in the minds of all nearby, "Failure, disjunction, unacceptable. The invasion must hold. We will send lesser forces ahead to permit us to refortify our position..." A new vanguard force is sent ahead to imperil <Town Name>...
