Bur Portal Summoning

"The voices of the town criers ring out across the land, announcing that Prince Borelean Strathelar will be attempting to summon a portal to the world of Bur in an attempt to find Asheron, who is suspected to be in the clutches of the vile Falatacot. All men and women of stout heart are asked to assist if they can, as he believes that there may be opposition from the Falatacot and their servants. King Varicci has stated publically that he will neither support nor hinder this effort, feeling it beneath his notice, and that individuals loyal to Viamont may choose to support this effort if they wish."

Lore & Dialog

Hoshino Kei tells you,"Greetings. My master has asked me to assist Prince Borlean with a ritual to open a portal to Bur. However, I have encountered difficulties."
Hoshino Kei tells you,"The orbs that I set upon the three pedestals in this area were stolen by the Falatacdot."
Hoshino Kei tells you,"I need assistance to repair the damage done by the Falatacot. But only one skilled in Item Enchantment will be able to open portals to where the Falatacot have retreated."
Hoshino Kei tells you,"The Falatacot stole the orb from the northern pedestal. It needs to be retrieved."
Hoshino Kei tells you,"The eastern pedestal's orb, meanwhile, has gone missing in a different location. It too should be returned before we perform the ritual."
Hoshino Kei tells you,"Finally, the western pedestal's rob must be returned, and the pedestal repaired."

Prince Borelean Strathelar says, "I am going to proceed to the first pedestal."
Prince Borelean Strathelar says, "Prepare yourselves..."
Prince Borelean Strathelar stands before the pedestal, radiating intensity and impetuousness.
Prince Borelean Strathelar says, "Quavosh Thipaj!"

Prince Borelean Strathelar relaxes from his spellcasting. He looks worn as he moves away from the pedestal.
Prince Borelean Strathelar says, "This one is finished. But there are two more I must attune to before we are finished."

Prince Borelean Strathelar lowers his steady gaze toward the second pedestal, percing eyes visible even through his steely black helm.
Prince Borelean Strathelar says, "Quavosh Thipaj!"
Prince Borelean Strathelar says, "The ritual shall begin again at this pedestal. Once again, protect me - there will be more Falatacot assaulting us, attempting to kill me for creating this portal."

Prince Borelean Strathelar stops his ritual meditation and steps away, fatigue dragging at his legs.
Prince Borelean Strathelar says, "There is only one more to be completed. We've done well, comrades - let us see this through to its end!"

Prince Borelean Strathelar raises his hands as he approaches the third pedestal.
Prince Borelean Strathelar says, "Quavosh Thipaj!"
Prince Borelean Strathelar says, "Be on your guard, brave people, for the assault shall renew itself once more."

Prince Borelean Strathelar stumbles tiredly away from the last pillar. With an effort of will, he pulls himself erect and addresses the crowd.

Prince Borelean Strathelar says, "We've made much progress...but there is one last step, if you will help me once more. Attend me on the platform."

Prince Borelean Strathelar appears, looking significantly more beaten and tired than before. His armor is covered by the muticolored blood and ichor of enemies that he must have fought within portal space.
Prince Borelean Strathelar says, "Roiga Thisith!"
Prince Borelean Strathelar says, "I shall remain here for a time, although I must leave soon to rest."

Prince Borlean Strathelar says, "It is time for me to depart. I think I need to rest for a few days, not strain myself too much. Good fortune to you all in Bur, though. If you find anything of import, please let us know."

Hoshino Kei tells you, "Greetings. Prince Borelean has completed the summoning of the portals, and so the orbs atop the pillars will remain secure from now on. However, Falatacot do steal pieces of the pedestals daily in an attempt to disrupt the magics set by Prince Borelean. Please continue to retrieve the pieces as you are able, to maintain the integrity of the portal."
Hoshino Kei pauses for a moment and looks thoughtful.
Hoshino Kei tells you, "He did perform magnificently, did he not? I always thought of him as an uncouth boy before now."

Showing him the Illuminated Falatacot Scroll gives:
You allow Gruuk'lar to examine your Illuminated Falatcot Scroll.
Gruuk'lar tells you, "I cannot read these strange Fiazhat symbols, and looking at it brings pain to my eyes. Do you know any of your people that can translate such old and forbidden runes? I believe your people refer to the Fiazhat 'Gods' as Falatacot."
Gruuk'lar tells you, "If this scroll you have found can aid us in finding Torgluuk and his companion, Asheron, My people will honor and reward you for a translation of it."

After translating it by Fanzen San in Hebian-To, he tells you to either bring it to Gruuk'lar or to Hasin Lin in Sawato:

You give Fanzen San the Translator Illuminated Scroll.
Fanzen San the Translator tells you, "Oh my! Where did you get this?"
You explain to Fanzen San about your travels to Bur, and about the Ruuk Village."
Fanzen San the Translator tells you, "This note is very disturbing. If you took it from one to whom it was addressed, then you have repaid one small revenge for Asheron."
Fanzen San the Translator tells you, "I will not tell you what to do with this translation, but I'd like to suggest that Hasin Lin, in Sawato, may be able to make use of this information to find Asheron."
Fanzen San the Translator tells you, "Take it to Hasin Lin, or that Ruuk Village Guardian, Gruuk'lar. The choice is up to you."

Though now retired, this scroll gave you the title of "Seeker of Torgluuk" (giving it to Gruuk'lar) or "Seeker of Asheron" (handing in to Hasin Lin):

You give Gruuk'lar Translated Falatacot Scroll.
Gruuk'lar looks over the translated scroll.
Gruuk'lar tells you, "You are resourceful traveler from Dereth. Very resourceful.
Gruuk'lar tells you, "With this, and what clue others have bought in, we should be able to track down Torgluuk's location, and set him free. Either we will find your Asheron there as well, or Torgluuk will know more. Take this, as a reward for your aid."
You've earned 30,000,000 experience.
Gruuk'lar declares to the village that you have aided in the seeking of Torgluuk, and are to be remembered for it.

You give Hasin Lin Translated Falatacot Scroll.
Hasin Lin looks over the translated scroll.
Hasin Lin tells you, "You found this on Bur?"
You tell Hasin Lin about your dealing on Bur, and of the Ruuk, Gruuk'lar.
Hasin Lin tells you, "A grand tale. I will take this and look into it. Perhaps, with some investigation, I can use this to find Asheron's location on Bur. Allow me to reward you."
You've earned 30,000,000 experience.
Hasin Lin awards you the title, Seeker of Asheron.
