Quest Overview
Brogord the Forester helped fend off the invading Tumeroks in PY 6. He met his demise in the Cave of Alabree, located at 41.8N, 32.1E. One of his axes and a letter he wrote to his wife can still be found within, and his daughter Flinrala Ryndmad, found in the Helm and Shield, will reward you for them.
Walk Through
- Optional: If you complete Worcer's Missing Heirlooms he will give you Directions to the Cave of Alabree and ask you to help Flinrala Ryndmad locate her deceased father's axe.
- Optional: If you want to also complete Blood Shreth Kill Task at the same time, proceed to Shoushi and get the quest from San Ming. Return to Holtburg.
- Proceed to the Cave of Alabree at 41.8N, 32.1E and locate Brogord's Axe and the Letter to Ryndya.
- Return to Holtburg and present the axe and letter to Flinrala Ryndmad inside of the Inn at 42.1N 33.8E for experience rewards.

Flinrala Ryndmad tells you, "No, no, I'll be alright. It just overwhelms me sometimes, how much I miss him. I must reward you for this."

Flinrala Ryndmad tells you, "This letter speaks highly of you. Take this key, which the mage Celcynd gave me. It unlocks the door to my father's room in the Redoubt."

Flinrala Ryndmad tells you, "If you can bring me back his axe, you will have whatever reward I can offer you."
Flinrala Ryndmad tells you, "My father's axe! Oh, bless you!"

Notes
- During the Iron Coast event, the experience reward for the axe was increased from 2,500 xp to 4,000 xp.
- During the The Calm event, the following changes were made to the quest:
- A new xp item, Letter to Ryndya, was found in the Cave of Alabree.
- The xp reward for the axe was increased from 4,000 xp to 10,000 xp.
- The dungeon's portal was moved from 42.3N, 29.3E to 41.8N, 32.1E.
- The key requirements were removed from the dungeon and the creatures were also updated.
- During the Reforging the Past event, the timer was reduced to 20 hours.
- During the Learning From Experience event, the experience for the axe and note were both increased from 10,000 to 15,000.
