Character and Background
- During the occupation of the Dericost town of Daralet by Yalaini soldiers, Elithra the Mage accompanied Ilservian Palacost when he was banned from the village. [1]
- Elithra is described as "a Haebran mage possessing a wintry beauty unsurpassed save by Leikotha"[1]
- Bael'Zharon's forces assault the Empire's holdings in the Haebrous continent. The Yalaini forces lead a desperate retreat from the Haebrous lands. In a bid to provide them with more time to make good their retreat, the Council of Five confronts the Shadow mage leading the assault against the Haebrous town of Dernhale. During the battle, the mage reveals her name to be Elithra of Daralet. Finally, through the combined might of the Council, this powerful mage is defeated. - It took the concentrated efforts of the entire Yalaini Council to put Elithra down at the battle of Dernehale.[2]
- Three of the other companions of Ilservian Palacost, Isin Dule, Ferah and Ler Rhan survive the Third Sending of Darkness, the fifth, Omadin is destroyed just like Elithra. Omadin lead an assault on the Yalaini rearguard as it withdrew from Haebrous. He and the Emperor Caerlin I fought in single combat. Omadin was defeated and slain, but not before he infected the emperor with the Black Madness.
