Overview

Walkthrough & Notes

  1. Loot a Crest of the Shagar Zharala from a Shreth-Gnawed Corpse. Only one is needed for the quest.
  2. Head to the Decrepit Tower at 23.8N, 12.2W and enter the portal. The portal is located at the bottom inside a tower near the bridge. You will have to jump over one section of missing stairs while climbing to the top of the tower.
    • Note: The only accessible access to the mountain top where the dungeon is located is at 25.6N, 14.6W.
  3. Once inside, hand your Crest of the Shagar Zharala to Yalik Ibn Ujsef, and he will give you a Skeleton Key in return.
  4. Use the Skeleton Key on the locked Sturdy Door nearby to gain access to the rest of the dungeon. The key has three uses.
  5. You must use the hidden button and lever in each room to open the six doors to gain access to the rest of the dungeon. One will open the door to the current room, the other will open the door to the next room in the sequence. The buttons are hidden and may be difficult to spot. Do them in the order NE SW E NW W SE.
  6. Optional: Find Zharalim Master's Journal (see level -3 on the map). If you are at the second set of lever activated doors, you have gone too far. This journal yields a random trophy reward.
  7. Optional: Find Zharalim Foreman's Journal (see level -6 on the map). If you are at the third set of lever activated doors (the large room with four stone heads) it is on that level. This journal yields a random trophy reward.
  8. At the lowest level is one more lever puzzle. In the room with flames, walk into the northwest corner to open the lever activated door down the hallway.
  9. Proceed all up the steps and continue on to the final lever puzzle.
  10. In the final room, kill the three bosses for three tassels. Rayssid Ibn Alhath drops the Woven Tassel of Far Sight (x9), Rheth Al'Thok drops the Woven Tassel of Sound Mind (x9), and Tiyol Ibn Yufaj drops the Woven Tassel of Discord (x9). The tassels can be given to Ufet, Prophet of Blades experience rewards and quest items, or can be attached to a Shadow's Garb mask to upgrade it.

Dialog

Ufet's Opening Dialog

Ufet, Prophet of Blades tells you, "You'll pardon me if my mind is on other matters today. Several of my comrades have left for a recently discovered library north west of this city, but they have not yet returned."

Ufet, Prophet of Blades tells you, "I am not usually one to worry, but with all that has happened of late, assassinations, invasions and an increase in cult activity, I can't help but do so."

Ufet, Prophet of Blades tells you, "I must remain at my station, but if you happen to come across them, please let me know where they are. Any information you find will put my mind at ease."
Yalik's Opening Dialog

Yalik Ibn Ujsef tells you, "Finally! People! People who aren't crazed!"

Yalik Ibn Ujsef tells you, "Don't look at me like I'm the crazy one. It's all those down below who have gone raving mad! Can you help them?"

Yalik Ibn Ujsef tells you, "Wait, you don't look like a Zharalim. Let me see your emblem! No emblem? Then I'm afraid I cannot let you pass. I am not about to let more people fall to the madness of this tower!"

Yalik Ibn Ujsef tells you, "If you see any of my brethren in the wilds, be wary of them. Chances are they are maddened by whatever is in the depths of this place. I fear that in that maddened state, they may have fallen prey to some beast. Shreth are all too common in this region."
Handing in Crest of the Shagar Zharala to Yalik Ibn Ujsef

Yalik Ibn Ujsef tells you, "Ah! I see you've brought your emblem with you. Give it here and I'll give you the key to the door over there."

Yalik Ibn Ujsef tells you, "Already so many Zharalim have fallen into the grasp of madness, I would hate to see any more fall."

You give Yalik Ibn Ujsef Crest of the Shagar Zharala.

Yalik Ibn Ujsef tells you, "Thank you! As I promised, here is the key. Use it well."

Yalik Ibn Ujsef gives you Skeleton Key.

Yalik Ibn Ujsef tells you, "Beyond the door are a series of levers. Once you pass through the gate they bar, you may not be able to return here, so please prepare first."

Yalik Ibn Ujsef tells you, "Also, if you happen to find my master in the depths, please let him know I am safe and continuing my duty up here."
Handing in the Excavation Directions to Ufet

You give Ufet, Prophet of Blades Excavation Directions.

Ufet, Prophet of Blades tells you, "Ah! Yes! That was where they were headed. Thank you for finding this! Where did you find it?"

As Ufet looks over the note, you relate to him how you found it.

Ufet, Prophet of Blades tells you, "I see. The shreth have always been known to be vicious."

Ufet, Prophet of Blades tells you, "Thank you for this little bit of information, but I will need something more from you in order to reward you for your efforts."
Tassal Rewards Dialog

You give Ufet, Prophet of Blades Woven Tassel of Far Sight.

You've earned 2,500,000 experience.

Ufet, Prophet of Blades tells you, "This came from the Shadow's Garb worn by Rayssid Ibn Alhath? Sadly I know little of the man save for his affinity for ranged weapons."

Ufet, Prophet of Blades tells you, "It seems only fitting that the reward I give you should reflect that. Take this periapt. May it help guide your shots with accuracy and swiftness."

Ufet, Prophet of Blades gives you Periapt of Endless Sight.

You give Ufet, Prophet of Blades Woven Tassel of Sound Mind.

Ufet, Prophet of Blades tells you, "You say Rheth Al' Thok wore this upon his Shadow's Garb? He was a bright man, poised to enter the ranks of the Zaikhal Arcanum. Well... that was before my compatriots offered him a place within our ranks. A shame that he was so easily enticed."

You've earned 2,500,000 experience.

Ufet, Prophet of Blades tells you, "Since he joined the ranks of the Zharalim, he was striving to obtain the Shagraka- the casting focus used by many of the Zharalim's sorcerers."

Ufet, Prophet of Blades tells you, "As he is no longer with us, the focus reserved for his use shall be passed on to you."

Ufet, Prophet of Blades gives you Shagraka.

You give Ufet, Prophet of Blades Woven Tassel of Discord.

You've earned 2,500,000 experience.

Ufet, Prophet of Blades tells you, "Ah, Tiyol's tassel, correct? I had no liking for that contemptuous man. In fact, it would not surprise me at all if he was the first to fall under the sway of the Raven Hand."

Ufet, Prophet of Blades tells you, "You did the world a great justice by defeating him. And since he was such a vile man, I have no qualms about giving out his belongings."

Ufet, Prophet of Blades tells you, "Before the group left for the library, many of them entrusted some of their belongings to my care. Primarily items that would be of no use to them in the grasslands and forests north of here."

Ufet, Prophet of Blades tells you, "Tiyol left this Cowl. Here, take it. I am glad to be rid of his belongings. Surely you will put the Cowl to a more appropriate use."

Ufet, Prophet of Blades gives you Cowl of the Sand.
Journal Rewards Dialog

You allow Ufet, Prophet of Blades to examine your Zharalim Master's Journal.

You hand over 1 of your Zharalim Master's Journals.

Ufet, Prophet of Blades tells you, "I thank you for this. It seems as though the Order of the Raven Hand have claws in several of my companions."

Ufet, Prophet of Blades tells you, "I thank you for this information. With these bits of knowledge, we will seek to restore the honor of our fallen comrades."

Ufet, Prophet of Blades tells you, "Here is something for your efforts."

Ufet, Prophet of Blades gives you Small Shard.

Ufet, Prophet of Blades gives you 2 Trade Notes (250,000).

You allow Ufet, Prophet of Blades to examine your Zharalim Foreman's Journal.

You hand over 1 of your Zharalim Foreman's Journals.

Ufet, Prophet of Blades tells you, "The library seems to be caked in madness and filth. Remnants of a Shadow Bulwark perhaps? Soot-layered tombs and air that maddens."

Ufet, Prophet of Blades tells you, "Now I see why the Raven Hand sought this place out. There may be artifacts of powerful shadows within."

Ufet, Prophet of Blades tells you, "It seems, though, that Yalik has done well in guarding the place. This is a hugely important task for one as young as he. I wonder how well he will handle the task in the months to come."

Ufet nearly forgets you in his musing, but quickly returns to the matter at hand.

Ufet, Prophet of Blades tells you, "I thank you for this. We were right to suspect the Order of the Raven Hand were up to no good. Take this as a reward for your efforts."

Ufet, Prophet of Blades gives you Platinum Golem Heart.

Ufet, Prophet of Blades gives you 2 Trade Notes (250,000).
